the thread had to do with guns, then some moron comes in questioning some abortion issue, may be the same ppl involved in abortions and gun control but the thread didn't have anything to do with abortion until this schmuck brought it up. So, if the abortions aren't being done with guns, the abortion issue had no place in this thread. Its 2 separate topics. And actually this thread isn't even about gun control, it's some dudes pathetic attempt at making his teeny weeny feel powerful.

Was Chris Kyle armed when he was killed?

Maybe he was ambushed.

Maybe the other guy was just faster. Bad bad news.

No, he wasn't full of shit. It was an ambush. Can't do much with your gun when you are ambushed in this manner:

"Four days after Mr. Routh’s release, Mr. Kyle, 38, and a friend, Chad Littlefield, 35, took Mr. Routh to a rural shooting range to help the young man, one of the ways Mr. Kyle often assisted troubled veterans. For reasons that remain unclear, the authorities said, Mr. Routh turned a semiautomatic handgun on the two men, shooting both multiple times and fleeing in Mr. Kyle’s truck before he was captured hours later near his home in the Dallas suburb of Lancaster."

So, just to be clear....At a shooting range, where there is presumably more firearm availability than in most normal situations, an "ambush" caught these highly trained individuals off guard?
Isn't it reasonable to assume, whenever an individual decides to use a Gun in this manner, they don't announce it in advance? Wouldn't that mean that regardless of how many more Guns the NRA suggests we add to the Mix, this will continue? So why do we continue to listen to the NRA who clearly represent the interests of the Gun sellers and Manufacturers first and foremost?

Enough, most people trained or not don't have eyes in the back of they're head. This proves that anyone who wants to commit a crime will find a way regardless of gun laws. The only thing that may have saved a real American hero would have been a good guy with a gun to stop it. The question on this thread is how many guns the answer is this is still a free county so whatever an honest citizen wants.

You must be the most brainwashed pile of shit on the planet. Do you twist every occurrence on this planet to fit your political ideology? You are seriously desperate now that opposition has begun to rise against your god's hasty, illegal, unconstitutional new law. The whole Oswego County Legislature passed a resolution opposing that bullshit law.

Ky, Mr Topix, points leader, please! If you polled all Americans, I'll bet you that more people would be in favor of the new gun laws. All the gun owners think that they're going to get all their guns taken away, that's a bunch of bull. What's wrong with background checks or owners having to give up AR's? What solution is there? It's certainly not a mental health issue as many gun owners say. There are many people who commit crimes with guns that aren't sick.

I have no problem with background checks. We need to keep the guns out of the hands of unstable people. They are the ones doing the massacre type crimes. Confiscating guns does no good, and is a precursor to more violations of our constitutional rights. We need to make gun crime cost the perpetrator, not the law abiding collector/shooter/hunter/citiz en. The gun rights people are now going to get this b.s. law repealed. They didn't do the knee-jerk thing that the idiots did.

I understand what you're saying but there are unstable people everywhere. People we've gone to school with, people we work with, etc. Some of the most unstable people I know are gun owners. We see people that we know almost daily and know they are touched, however, we would never think of them as mass murderers. Where do we draw the line on an unstable person owning a gun?.....And as far as a knee jerk decision, these mass murders have been going on for some time now, we had to make a move at some point.

I think that plenty of unstable misfits sit in legislatures across the country, are mayors, governors and the biggest of all, your president. This country needs an enema starting with liberals, followed by illegal aliens.

Actually, Dave, The Original question on this thread, was posed by an individual wondering "how many guns does one need to compensate for inadequate genitalia?" So I suppose the true answer would be.....however many it takes....right?
