bensonhurst...Toddo was a drug dealer and yes, I knew him. There is a great CLASSIC story about him, "Jerry R" and on old Black Granny who looked harmless who lived on Jewett Place but ran a couple million dollars of year of drugs out of her apartment, but I have to wait a few more yeas to tell that one...

They were half assed connected forth hand...and through ROME,not Utica. People involved are still alive so I can't say much more than that, but think about a sales manager from Rome who worked there at in the 70s and 80s, and his parents next door neighbor...ring any bells?

The Toddo I am talking about was from Buffalo, but spent a lot of time in Utica. he was the nephew of some high ranking people but was not widely trusted even by his own family...Are we talking frozen Pizza?

If the Italians did a better job holding on to their culture and heritage, the mob never could have been broken. If the younger guys learned their native language they could discuss business freely and undetected. If they took pride in being a stand up guy who never rats, bosses never would have gotten pinched. The shit runs downhill not up. You want less shit, do what you're supposed to do, get respect and move up.
The old school values are gone today, once the few guys leftover from the old days die off, the next generation will destroy all that's left cause they're too spoiled and impulsive. Its sad..
