The only mafia Utica ever had was in the 50's and 60's. Anything anybody else tells you is a lie.

you probably will see them arrested again in a few months and be shocked at why they are back out on the streets in so short of time.

what would be the point? what does utica have the mob would want? now any way i mean look at utica lol its not like it was in the 50's-70's. one thing is for sure if the mob was still in utica it wouldnt be the dirty town it is now over ran with the crap it has now.
is the mob still in utica? no idea... its none of my business and i could care less if they are or not... i dont need to know i dont want to know.
now in Italy the Mob is still going and growing actually. thats back in its roots. its italian gangs in italy call it mob or what ever you want to call it but its just gangs in italy. just like gangs in mexico call it mexican mafia or what ever or gangs in russia russian mafia etc. you can lable any gang a mafia or mob lol. they still have american gangs or american mafia in the states NYC Philly Chicago Detriot Boston and some in OH FL Cali. Canada has a few groups as well.
Irish Mob thats still around in the UK Aus and Canada and i think Philly/NYC.
a couple of the italian gangs in italy are pretty badass. still believe in Omerta and all that. the way the Eurozone is (screwed up) one of the few places to get loans for some folks in Europe is by the Mob and at rates sometimes lower than the banks lol.
I guess if the mob can be still around in the states and Europe I guess it could be in utica just like it could be in any other town or city across the county. utica might be ran down but one thing the utica area does have is people and with people does come a chance to make money so you never know. myself i have my doubts.
Gotti was one hell of a man but liked the spot light way too much and drawed way too much attention to himself i still like gotti thoe and yes wire taps fucked shit up pretty good for the mob.
"you tell him I John Gotti will sever his mother fucking head off" that single line they caught right there fucked John over pretty damn good.
Lucky and Myer's they were the OG badasses lol.

Yes! They are all gone now. you can tell by how run down the city has become. No work, like in the 40's to 60's. When they all got old and died so did Utica!

ALL these "mafia" scumbags were failures who had to live in a gang to survive. Lots of other ways to clear the 1st mil by 35 but not for some. They need to run in thief packs. It's laughable what these people gravitate to and what "impresses" oooticans.
Now they call them politicians and cops. Gangs, that's all.
I think it was a way to survive.

It's short sighted, and the survivability % is not worth the risk.

I just found out that Dave Morgan released the information, that he is in the Mafai.

That is why he could get away with his scam so long.

At most you have people who know people from other areas. That's it. The mob is alive and well in big cities where they can do their business and not be bothered. The FBI's shift in attention towards terrorism has allowed for it to become revitalized, with a lot of lessons learned, and better personnel from the old country.
This is Utica though. You can't go bust someone's head or smash up their store or clip them around here, it's too small, there's too many rats and the cops would be all over you in ten minutes. Even if there was anything here anymore, it would have no teeth. NYC guys, or Philly, or even Buffalo or Canada have bigger better things to worry about then Utica, NY. They may be pulling some strings in the shadows to make use of public contracts, construction, hauling, etc, but that's it.
Honestly it's kinda sad. Cause if the Italians could still impose their will and handle business in the neighborhoods like the old days, half these thug wannabes and mulignan drug dealers would get thrown off a roof or thrown such a beating that they'd never come back. You'd still be able to walk down the street at night without having to look over your shoulder.

The mob is alive and well operating in our third branch of government - the judiciary. They now wear black robes.
