Believe it or not, I agree to some extent but I also believe this is not the place for disgruntled former employees to complain about their unsatisfactory work experience. I just wanted to respond to some of the misinformation that was being presented since I enjoy what I do and believe in the business practices of this shop.
I have said what I felt needed to be said and this will be my final post in this thread.
To the guy with the rims, no appointment necessary but mid-week is usually best if you plan on waiting.
Thank you to all of you who support us!:)
Thanks, Russ.

Take your car to Nimey's for the next whatever, and give a comparison afterward. That's all.

And you just desribed the problem with russ and his personality disorder.
When I was employed there, among his biggest routine gripes were monetary issues; how his mechanics weren't making him enough money, how he didn't have time to let us sit down and eat a meal, how the shop wasn't making any money, etc.
Wait a minute! Maybe if the old man wasn't constantly GIVING AWAY parts and labor, in an effort to mesmerize his customers, he wouldn't have to constantly degrade his employees or tell us the shop can't afford new equipment.
I mean, it's great and all that you got married, but why does that mean hundreds of dollars have to be given away?
Like I said, customers only see one side of russ, the other side is much darker, especially the way he degrades his employees.
It's a business-of course we don't see the negative side of the owner. Thats a given. It was a sensor, and a inspection...not hundreds of dollars. Chill. Are you a doctor diagnosing his personality disorder? I'm a nursing student, who is planing on persuing a job in psychiatric nursing - and i doubt you have any idea what constitutes a personality disorder. Don't use terms unless you have knowledge to back them up...

How about first hand?

Narcissistic personality disorder; look it up some time.

I've done several care plans for psych nursing, i'm well versed. This is clearly a waste of my time--no use arguing with someone like this on the internet. It's topix, its not meant for you to be complete ass to strangers who were sharing an experience. I'll be off this thing now, so please do not bother responding. I do have children that I want to spend time with...I assume you have a family as well..Go spend time with them and don't worry about arguing points on someplace you used to work at, it's in the past; why give a shit and waste others times responding to there posts (MINE) with negativity. I believe theres a rule everyone hears when they are growing up, " If you don't got nothing nice to say, Don't say it at all", probably would be a good time to use that. Anywho, all the best to those who are reading this. Cheers!

Russ is an amazing, genuinely nice person, which is very rare to come by. I would recommend Oriskany Garage and Tire to anyone anytime. I have brought my car to other garages such as Midas in Yorkville and had the same part break not even a year later.OGT always provides reliable work. I am a full time college student, with my own place, and two part time jobs which Russ knows. Last time I brought my car there which was only last week Russ didn't charge me a cent for labor, and also for tires only out of the goodness of his heart. Anyone looking for a reliable honest garage, Oriskany Garage and Tire is your place.
