About a decade ago I had sex with my brothers friend who was 24. Was I raped? Also can I still press charges and sue him for that? he has a good job and alot of moneynow and if he did rape me I think I should be compensated!

Ok then s why are people on the list for consetual sex with 16 year olds then? Why is it called rape if it isn't? I have been ding some researc and it is calld Rap in the 3rd degree. Thelaw is the law and I think i should press charges!

By definition of law (in NYS at least) its considered Statutory Rape (under 17 years of age) to my understanding (or misunderstanding...either way)

Yes, the statute of limitations has already come and gone on that common "crime". Why did you wait until the guy was doing very well in life to even consider making a legal issue out of what was consentual sex, although you were still, in the eyes of the law, a minor at the time and not legally allowed to give consent to having sexual intercourse. You should have told a parent or other adult about your encounter(s)with this guy years ago. That guy was wrong for not waiting until you were 17(Legal age)to fool around with you, but now you're wrong for thinking there should be a payday in it for you as punishment because he makes good money at his job. Get a job of your own and move on with your life!
