The Catholic Church and its schools are a business, plain and simple! As soon as they stop making money for the diocese or they cost the diocese money, they shut them down! Case in point is all of the churches that have been merged or closed! Simple business plan folks! The biggest "company" in the world is the Catholic Church! Notre Dame is just one of the thousands of franchises worldwide! It will stay open as long as its profitable!

I would expect that kind of comment from a pro-Notre Dame nazi. I'll bet you believe that there are no priest pedophiles as well. The school is a cesspool filled with the likes of you. Ignorant, liars, pedophiles, physical and mental abusers of children, alcoholics. addicts..and those are just the teachers. YOUR kids will grow up to be one of them, just like you...hahaha...

You got your full scholarship because you are white or black trash, have no income to speak of BUT your kid can bounce a ball. He probably can't read or write well though, just like you. ND is using your kid to try to up it's game record...they don't give a crap about your kid academically... he will leave there as stupid as he was when he got there. You've already failed your kid in that respect. In about two years, when his ball bouncing days are over, and he still can't read and no one will hire him, he can sit next to you all day in your trailer and you can post about what a great school ND was..LOL...yeah those were the days....while both of you collect welfare and drink yourselves to death. That is some foundation that you laid for your spawn...you already DESTROYED any chance of an education for him and you are too stupid to realize it. Stop wasting our time here and go get a job, loser, you and your damaged kid.

Notre Dame elementary has an aide who was hired by the principal because she is a personal friend. This aide, Colleen Bareazz is a two ton, mean-spirited, cretin. This is a warning to anyone who sends their kids there. I have seen this with my own eyes. She comes up behind the kid when they are sitting in a chair and holds down both of their forearms to the point of pain and bruising. She then threatens them in a low voice. The kid I saw it happen to didn't want his snack. The kid was terrified of her and cried like a baby while she squeezed the life out of his arms. She has been reported for this and was fired from another school for doing the same thing; Don't let that abuser near your kid. Demand that she stay away, if you want your kid safe from this kind of cruelty. Don't bother complaining to the principal. Nothing will be done. Complain to the Bishop.

I hate to spoil a rant like this by introducing facts but I'm going to anyway. The only real definitive study done on the occurance of sexual abuse/misconduct in schools shows that a child is more than 100 times more likely to be sexually abused in a public school setting than by a priest in a church or Catholic school setting. I don't expect you'd ever take the time to read this or to try to assimilate the evidence but here's a link anyway. This study was paid for and performed for the United States Department of Education.

If you have anything besides an uninformed opinion based on emotion that disproves the conclusions of this study then please feel free to post that evidence.

Do you think any of the anger pointed toward Notre Dame and people who choose to send their children there could be a sign of guilt or jealousy?

I mean there are no doubt a lot of people in this area who for economic reasons cannot afford the tuition. Notre Dame offers financial aid but obviously that is limited. They can't help everyone. There are also probably those out there who could afford the tuition but are unwilling to make the sacrifices necessary. Contrary to the stereotyping seen here many of the folks I talk to that have children there are able to afford the tuition by driving used cars and not taking expensive vacations.

Instead of railing against Notre Dame why not rail against a system that makes you pay school taxes but doesn't allow you to send your child to the school of your choice.

Why not offer proof of the allegations you've made? Your use of a takeoff on Judy Hauck's name shows that you have at least some knowledge of Notre Dame. Who are the alcoholics? Who are the addicts? Who are the liars? Who are the ignorant?

Judy Hauck is no longer with Notre Dame by the way. She resigned some time agao and I believe she is now the director of the Good News Center.

Yeah, Hauck saw the writing on the wall---I hear the good news center already considers her bad news. She got out of there because she knows closure is coming soon and she was out of options to find another catholic school to ruin. The Scheidelmans would roll over in their graves if they knew their hard earned money was wasted that moron.

Send this to the rape victims of henry charles sewall and abuse victims of don crosby. They were both local priest pedophiles affiliated with the utica catholic school system. I'm sure they will be very comforted in your concern for them. When you or yours get theirs from a priest, have a copy of this handy. I'm sure they will express due gratitude to a sterling soul such as yourself.

Here's the deal. I haven't posted this before but others have. That's where I first saw it. No one in their right mind would say that what the priests did is in any way excusable behavior. It was wrong. The point to be made though is that sexual abuse is not limited to Catholic churches and schools. The fact of the matter as proven by this study is that children are much more likely to be victims of abuse in the public schools.

Niether case is acceptable but don't pretend that what this study shows isn't true. You may not want to believe it but that doesn't make it invalid. If you have evidence to the contrary then post it. Otherwise stop trying to portray Notre Dame and formerly affiliated priests as the only villians. They most certainly are not.

Does the fact that a link to this study has been posted before invalidate its' conclusions?

Every time anyone says the word Catholic or mentions Notre Dame the same posters post the same allegations and stories about incidents that happened years ago and involve people long since gone. I would never claim that these things were not true or invalid because they had been posted ad nauseum by folks who seem to have something against the school.

Why all the lies? You are the same poster. Your diction is exactly the same. Your pathetic style is unmistakeable. Get yourself a ghost writer with some real talent and then maybe someone will listen. I must say I am disappointed in you. You do more harm to that school than good by your charades.
