Maybe I forgot to mention, that even though I do not live in Utica anymore, I still pay the property taxes on the house. So even though I am an "Ex-Utican," my money still supports your city government.
I, or someone before me, mentioned the narrow-mindedness of the people of Utica. You, sorry to say, are a classic example of it. Just because someone doesn't currently live there doesn't mean that they don't have family (in my case), friends (also in my case), a business, investment property, or what have you that makes them stakeholders in Utica and thus entitles them to a say in what goes on there.
I fully encourage you to travel outside of Utica for an extended period of time. Look around at the people, the buildings, the businesses. Get a local paper and see what is making news, because I can virtually guarantee that it is nothing even remotely close to the circus that goes on in Utica.
The newspaper here talked about how the outgoing mayor of White Plains (next town over from me) shredded his personal correspondence right before he left office.
When someone LIVES here and it effects them everyday,I feel THEY have the right to dicuss our local issues at hand.Whether I agree w/ them or not, they have a right to voice thier opinion. But when someone who doesnt live here says rotton shit it just pisses me off.Worry about your own backyard. As far as your inlaws,Get THEM on topix KEEP your PURCHASE OUT OF IT!!!
