In light of all the controversy, Sister Anna Mae of Notre Dame has decided that its best if she retired, effective 1st of November. Temporary replacement to be announced shortly

What a shame, if this is true. The diocese should have never allowed this situation to spiral out of control and become a media frenzy. What kind of example are we setting for our children? Parents need to respect positions of coaches and administration. When you have a concern handle it as an adult behind closed doors, not in front of spectators or the media. I'm sure this has taken a toll on many and will affect enrollment in the end.

Its the best thing. ..Sister should have stepped down years ago...I think when she was fired a few years ago should have been an eyeopener for all. I was shocked they brought her back. Its time for new leadership

Without new leadership the school is going to fail. The charter school will take over. Just look at Syracuse. Two charter schools and the enrollment of ludden and grimes has been reduced 50%. Please retire Sister Anna Mae !

Utica isn't Syracuse. not even close to the same.
if nanotech ever does take off in marcy notre dame and new Hartford are likely to be the schools that gain the most. people with good jobs and kids look at schools as one of the most important things when they move to a new area. then add all the locals who might get better paying jobs and then be able to pay tuition or buy a house in new Hartford too.
