Ok..........I have been reading all this ridiculous information about the Utica Comets' future and I can't believe the negativity and hatred. The Comets are just completing a VERY successful inaugural season at the Aud. They have had 16 sellouts and are leading the league in new season tickets for next year. That is a fact. Advertising for next season is booming. Renovations will begin very soon. You can dispute that if you'd like but that is the truth. Vancouver is extremely happy with the facility, the city and the fans. Even people who live in Vancouver are proud of us for taking good care of their prospects. That is also a fact. The Comets have found a good home in Utica and are going nowhere for a long time. You can write all lies you want and the rest of us will continue to cheer on our local heroes in 2014-2015

well its just one idiot that is on here blubbering to anyone who will listen. Rob Esche and his staff have won over the canucks with the great job they have done here. the in game experiance is outstanding!! sammy and the food service is much improved over previous seasons. the fans have bought in and supported the team in every way possible. businesses are also supporting the team. the entire area has a huge asset in the comets. the players seem to love playing here, and although we had a rough start(0-8-1-1) to actually still be in the playoff hunt with a half dozen games left is outstanding!! the canucks have some serious talent coming into their system this fall. two of those players are on the erie otters of the ohl, Dane fox and Brandon Gaunce. they both should be in comets jerseys in the fall. i have aready renewed my seasons for the next two years!!!! im pretty sure vancouver came in here expecting much less than what the comets have delivered, but now they have a home for their Ahl team!!

You know nothing, neither does Bud Esche. Yet. The Calgary move to Glens Falls will muddy Vancouver s decision making process.

Simple truth is that keeping the farm team in Abbotsford is significantly cheaper than keeping it across the continent. Esche losing his GM buddy in Vancouver hurt ALOT. As for the rental agreement our fearless leaders whored themselves into, Vancouver is free to walk away right now if they wish to do so.

Don't get your hopes up minor hockey lovers so eager to spend your money, because as the Comets owners k ow very well, it may not be here this fall.

It's basic economics, something the barely high school educated former goalie knows nothing about. He doesn't know anything about class either, given his recent comments about the Crunch owner.

What's worse than a moron? A moron with a drinking problem and a big stake in a hockey team.

Absolutely true. The 40 second mark of this clip from November 2013 is very telling.

If he wants to go then let him go. There will be 4 to 5 teams that would come here in a minute including Calgary if the Canucks left. I do want them to stay but if they want out. Seeeee ya. Even Rochester fans said tonight we have a beautiful arena and they loved it.

Don't be so sure about that. The aud is probably the worst venue in the league actually.

One month after the comets inaugural game...at a heat/comets game...does he deny anything. Nope. He defers the question to the mayor saying it's up to him. The Canucks are gone from utica.

Here comes Rashy's witty deflection and retort.......wait for it.......here it comes..........

Reasons why they are gone,

1. website history
2. Aud stopped renovations
3. Not excepting season ticket money, meaning if you paid, it was not submitted. No reciepts if you paid.

<quoted text> actually Syracuse is a much worse building.. But then again in your shallow world everything needs to be brand new and state of the art. Its all about looks instead of function......new buildings cost a lot of money to rent, older buildings are cheaper to rent. Its a great venue for hockey!!!!
Oh really? So your "opinion" about is the Syracuse building is just that. And cheaper to rent older buildings than newer ones? Really? You may want to talk to the New Jersey devils about that in Albany.

Didn't even hesitate to the media and only a month after the comets started playing. I like the mayors body language and response too.

Davey Boy Smith is all worked up deflecting the fact that he knows sh!t! Too funny!! Your father was a good local hockey man, but you the little disappointment with a rash, are the brunt of jokes with ALL the insiders!!! I know that for a FACT!!!!!! Go Rashy, go, go, GO!!!!!!
