<quoted text>I am not tolerant of religion because its caused so much pain in the world its better left to ones self. Keep it out of the politics of the world. There so annoying those jehova witnesses when they push their religion on old people. That just one example. You are all the same. Keep it off the air. There is no proof of anything. Its survival of the fittest and evalution all the way. What more proof do you need.
I still call b.s. You are saying that any other topic; homosexuality, pornography, racism, politics, abortion, etc. are all acceptable topics of conversation heer but religion should be censored and kept in the dark. Didnt you say in another post that you just skip right past any topic you deem not worthy of your attention? Methinks you are not being honest with us or yourself. I respect your opinion and it seems you are somewhat intelligent. Just not being totally honest.

I am a broken dude, been hit hard with life. I don't know much. but when my face was lying in the pool of my puke and my eyes blurred over....there was one man who never left me. somehow,(I cannot explain) I saw Jesus in his glory. I passed out and awoke in the ER. Beaten, broken, near death. All I can remember is his voice, "it was for you that I dies..." tears, darkness, and pain followed as I realized who I was and what I had become. I am clawing out of the gutter...one fingernail at a time. To those of you who think they know what they are talking about, read the book of James in the New Testament...one word at a time, very slowly. Then read the Gospel of Matthew. That is all I got.

<quoted text>Great intentions, thank you, but news flash. There was no jesus, but there was a Yeshua the messiah, son of the most high sovereign creator. Also, christ is a term taken from the greek cristos, which means oil (yes, like crisco), and also is of the same delineation and meaning as krishna of the same named religous order. So, if looking to the real savior/messiah, you must look to the true personages or prayers fall on deaf ears. In the creator and the savior Yeshua's name, many blessings to you.

Now that's actually kinda funny. See? Even Christians can have a sense of humor.

"For those who believe, no explanation is necessary.
For those who don't no explanation will suffice"

Whenever one of these threads deteriorate like this one has with anti-religion people calling names and questioning the intellect of believers I always wonder what they get out of it. Do you think you are somehow superior to those who have faith in God? Does it make you feel good to name call and put people down that way?

Churches and religion played a major role in the founding of our country and the subsequent transformation into the greatest country there has ever been. Since about the 1960's though our society has been turning away from many of those things that led to our greatness. Religion being one. No one can honestly say that our culture is better now than when churches played a larger and more active part in our day to day life.

I know what comes next. The comments about pedophilia and all of the rest of the rhetoric that non-believers use to justify their non-belief. Then the predictable introduction of something that shows that children are much more likely to be sexually abused in public schools than in church settings. Then, faced with real evidence the non-believers resort to the same old name calling and the rest. This is a fruitless exercise.

The population of the world is something like 7.1 billion
of those:
approximately 1.2 billion are Roman Catholic
approximately 1.6 billion are Muslim
approximately 350 million are Protestant
approximately 350 million are Buddhist
and on and on and on......

That's an awful lot of people as a percentage of the whole population that identify themselves as believers. Are they all wrong and simple minded? Or, is it that faith in a greater power is something that they experience as real?

Do you feel better now?

As predicted - name calling.
And some degenerate language thrown in as well. You should be very proud and the people who raised you to be what you are should be too.

Curious about your statistics. Where did you get the "99.9% of you are hypocrites"? Is there a scientific study you can point to in order to back that up? Or, is it just uneducated, emotional drivel that you throw out there in order to feel better about yourself?

One last question. How does it harm you in any way, shape or form if people believe in a higher power? I'm asking because you seem quite upset by the fact that people are expressing their beliefs.

May you someday find Jesus and invite Him into your heart. He layed down his life for all of us so that we may be forgiven of our sins. He was the ultimate sacrifice...a gift to mankind from an all loving God. He loves you and so do we all...Christians. Please repent and let Him in. You won't regret it.
