Gott luv these grants with all the catchy acronym names. "IMPACT"! OoooOO! The only IMPACT is on New Yorker's wallets. What do they need more grants equipment and toys for? So we can pay to upkeep more junk they hardly ever use? Is it me or do I see 5 - 9 Trooper Blazers sittimg in parking lots everytime I go past the barracks in Oneida? How many more layers of "public safety" and police will this buy us? These politicians are quick to come up with catchy names and sound bites but here we are throwing another few million statewide paying yet again for more police. Gotta love the job the police have done with the state in the last 10 years! Ooo crime is up you say? Not suprised! Maybe we should get a few hundred moremillions into the hole before people start realising this is like welfare. They don't call it the police state for nothing! Do some community college and you can have a 100k a year,$80k blazer full time as you go around annoying people and running your enemies info. After a few years we'll pay your retirement for the rest of your life!

No really his point is there is much waste in government no matter who it is for, you know that if you work in government. Look around you and you got to be blind when you see your bosses in the ranks and see what they really do. You know they do nothing but push paper around and give orders . There is much duplication and no acomplishments. This cant and wont go on to much longer because the amount that is spent on the waste cant be squeezed from taxpayers who are losing their jobs to China and the money just isnt there and the gov cant go on borrowing and printing money. Remember the public employees which really do include the police even though they dont think their pay comes from taxpayers ,and they are paid to uphold the law for the publics safety ,and when the people start to lose faith on how their spending their money ,you are going to see more teabaggers and more movements like in Whitesboro to eliminate the village and consolidate. Its inevitable , its a comming and its comming sooner than they think. The days of waste are gone.

I love the example in today's paper: Two Vacuum cleaner salesmen were arrested because they damaged someone's mattress during a demonstration. Before the politicians packed 500,000 cops in your azzes that would be a civil issue. Now they have more laws than residents in NY.

"Still ticked off about that speeding ticket, huh?" is representatiuve of the cop mentality around here. They know damn well most are leeches but smugly talk shyt to people and cry when they get downsized insisting it's only "criminals" who get sick of getting robbed in taxes year after year so they can have new cars, spare no expense atiitudes and still talk their shyt to citizens who pay for their kid's food.

Wether they like it, "approve" of it or not they have run this state into the ground with entitlements for welfare and government employees. The money and the people are gone now. So much for NY and the NY law enforcemnet welfare society that told you for years they knew best. Stupid you for ever thinking NY could do anything right.

I have so many words to describe just how ignorant your statment is. I will just state that you are an uneducated idiot that Im sure has utilized the services of the police on more than on occasion. Im also sure youve probably been on the receiving end of their wrath. Did your girl or boyfriend leave you for a strapping man in blue? I bet thats it. You seem to be jealous of someone that can do and is not afraid to do a job your are totally incapable of performing. What should we spend money on? Maybe the effects of prolonged crack cocaine use? I think your statment already proved what happens there. thanks for the info on that one. Did your parents have any other kids that lived?

Typical immature ranting response. You must be one of our precious heores in blue. You fit the profile: Immature, complainant, and useing name calling and retarded speculation of my motivation. This RIGHT HERE is an example of how the welfare police system defends itself with hotheadded rants. I know it would help your pathetic standing in the discussion if I WERE a crack smoker but sorry. You failed. All you've done is reveal your poor poor logic and immaturity. No wonder the crime problem is huge and out of control no matter how much we spend. We're paying adult children to sit around and attack people who are sick of the taxes and the attitudes.
Keep making my point for me! Keep PROVING how hateful an mentally stunted most of these cops are! ALL welfare recipients have the same reaction when the spotlight hits em!!!

Sounds like "STFU Nick" is a cop and a little full of himself. MANY people can do the job moron just some of us don't wan't to be a nonproducing taxeater. Every time anyone mentions how flatout out of control the police are these days is shouted down usually by some thick-neck taxeater who justifies robbing citinret for their own gravy train employment in a "hot" profession where you get to sxxt on people all day because you were beat up as a kid or you aren't smart enough to get a job that adds to the economy instead of requiring 10 taxpayers to pay their bennies salaries and pensions. This guys response typifies the police mindset here perfectly. STFU PAY US OR WE'LL TELL YOU YOU CAN'T DO OUR JOBS. People aren't telling you you aren't worth it or you are not doing your jobs. The statistics are. Now go suck your passifier and come up with some more mature or less predictable response. The cost of all these police coupled with the high crime rate and the fake war on drugs and the constant low maturity level is amazing. Show me one cop who doesn't get angry and emotional when you point out how all these fake wars on this and that are a farce just like we trusted the same government to tell us vietnam was right or Iraq. Stop listening to these people hooting thier own horns and attacking you all if you point out their waste and decades of lies from the law. Everything will get beter if you just give us more money so we can go give ourselves raises and bigger expenses. It's all a lie the only question is whether or not the people finally tell these overgrown egotistical babies NO!

Why are you people blaming cops all the time. The fact is we need more and why...Cause blacks are causing crime and living off the system. Thats what is bogging down the economy. You people make me laugh. Do you realize how much of your tax dollars goes to welfare and free heat and handouts to drug dealers. THe money for police cars is a pimple on an ass. Besides are police supposed to drive a 1989 Chevy blazer that runs mostly 24/7. You are an idiot. I do realize different objectives could be executed by police but to act like its the cause of the economy is crazy.

I see your point however you don't realize cops do the job with their hands behind their back. You basically can't do much to a criminal and there are really no consequences for criminals. You can know who committed a crime but proving it is totally different. Cops need to be able to beat the chit out of people who DESERVE it or else its only going to get worse.

Hey I understand your points and I accept them but for the idiot part. I do not think that police or any particular branch of local government is causing all the tax increases but you have to get serious. You sound like you do care and can cut through the BS but police beating people is not the solution. Otherwise you are a dying breed more than we know. Everyone talks the talk trust me I know but who is walking the walk anymore? Seriously. It's becoming an entitlement way of life in an economy that can't afford it at half the going rate. I could keep paying for it and take it it's the way a lot of these politicos and police treat people like they know best and a pizzy attitude when their results all around us are just horrific. A large portion of ALL local government workers and their union cancer bosses should be thanking their stars they're not eating from dumpsters. They will be soon if they don't come back to senses.
