Sure. An additional thousand or so people in the county suddenly having health insurance is going to be a "catastrophe." This after a local hospital just laid off dozens of health care workers because of a lack of patients. Sounds about right.
For a brief moment I thought we might have a glmimer of intelligence from the right. But no such luck with DA Law. He says we should only use drone strikes "on the battle field". 1840 is calling Mr. Law. They want their muskets back. I haven't noticed alqaida lining up in formation with bayonets to the ready. What an asz clown this guy is. And he spends a whole page pointing out the horrors of the A.C.A. And all he can come up with is staff shortages. Virtually every hospital administrator in the country endorsed the ACA. Maybe they need to keep their ears stuck to the Rush Limbaugh show to get the real scoop. And there's no doubt thtat this guy is a ditto head. Rush Limbaugh is the intellectual (sic) leader of the Republican party. Every one of these right wing stooges parrots his every word, and yet no one admits to listening to him. Interesting.

But no such luck with DA Law. He says we should only use drone strikes "on the battle field".
I said we should have *legal* drone strikes.

And, for the third time, I'll ask if you believe mere suspicion is a legal justification for battlefield executions, as the current administration claims. Given that you're a Marine this is a point of the Law of War you should be intimately familiar with. I'm not quite clear on why you continually refuse to answer the question.
I haven't noticed alqaida lining up in formation with bayonets to the ready.
But they've certainly been lining up the bodies of the innocent people caught in the President's illegal drone strikes. If you'd like I could provide some links to video of the aftermath. Given your support of the killing I suspect you haven't actually seen much of it.

Surprisingly enough, the wailing spectators don't seem to appreciate the administration's interpretation of the Law of War.
What an asz clown this guy is.
Ah, more of that wonderful "civility" I've been hearing so much about!

On the bright side, you do seem to have tamed your tendency to view everyone who disagrees with you as mentally ill.

Is there a reason you seem obsessed by Rush Limbaugh? Has he weighed in on the number of neurosurgeons in Oneida County? Or the difficulty in providing mental health services in Utica? That would seem to be an issue of particular interest to yourself, given how often you diagnose everyone else as being in need of "psychiatric help".

Although I suspect the reason you do that is more...personal...in nature.

No! mere suspicion is not justification for battle field executions. Yes the use of drones is a very slippery slope. But, it's a very different world now. You keep referring to a "battle field". can you tell us where the present battle field is located?
My question is would you prefer George Bush's strategy of invading independent nations (Iraq), bombing their cities into the stone age, and creating a hundred more terrorists for every one killed. How does the body count of innocent civilians from that strategy compare to the use of drones? Answer my questions and I'll be more than happy to answer yours. Do you listen to Rush Limbaugh, or not?

I'm sorry, but I simply have to ask: are you actually a Marine? The definition of battlefield is covered in great detail in the Corps required Law of War coursework. It's literally the first thing the formal instruction covers.

Is there a reason you're seemingly oblivious to this fact?
My question is would you prefer George Bush's strategy of invading independent nations (Iraq), bombing their cities into the stone age, and creating a hundred more terrorists for every one killed.
Of course, simply because it was *legal*.

Currently, we're illegally invading sovereign countries (Pakistan, Quatar, Iran, Sudan, Algeria, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Mali, etc.), raining Hellfire missiles on "suspects", and spawning more terrorists when the bodies of children and women are put on display.

Oddly enough, you didn't mention that.
How does the body count of innocent civilians from that strategy compare to the use of drones?
It's hard to say because of the current administration's obsession with secrecy. According to the Columbia study ( http://web.law.columbia.edu/human-rights-inst... ) roughly 50 civilians are killed for every "terrorist". The Stanford project ( http://www.livingunderdrones.org/ ) not only demonstrates that the Obama administration is outright lying about casualties, but actively hiding *thousands* of innocent deaths.

It's sobering reading. I'd also warn you about the videos at the Stanford site. It's heartbreaking to see the gruesome aftermath of the President's brutal program of "targeted" killings.
Answer my questions and I'll be more than happy to answer yours. Do you listen to Rush Limbaugh, or not?
No, I don't. Is it okay to use words like "regime" now? Since you haven't provided a list of your trigger words I don't want to be responsible for setting off another episode.

Then why aren't the republicans doing everything in their power to get someone elected who will change the way things are getting done in Washington. Instead of appealing to the moderates in the party and attracting the conservative minded independent voters they are catering to the more extremist elements in the party. They had the last election in their pockets if they would have only run a more moderate candidate. The republicans let the tea-baggers hijack the nomination and ended up losing to a highly vulnerable incumbent. This past election was ours to lose and we succeeded in losing it. The mid-term election is fast approaching and we stand to lose control of both houses of congress if we donít change our ways. Obama and the democrats are kicking our asses and we refuse to change the way we fight. The tea-baggers have convinced you that we are better off losing than compromising our principles. Please explain that logic to me. There might be time left to get back on track if we can rein in the extremists who are now controlling our agenda. There is no possibility of the republicans winning this current fight. Every day the president and the media make us look more like we spoiled little kids. Our leaders are more worried about winning the battle than winning the war.

Truth Dig,

Of course you are the same person as Gleck/et al it is obvious to any one who has any reading comprehension.

I have never called myself an intellectual just a guy who is curious and pragmatic who unlike you reads extensively both sides of an argument.

As far as sock puppetry is concerned I used to post under the moniker "teo" but decided to change my screen name last month to "cormac". Unlike you I have no reason to try to create a Greek chorus made up of my own voice.

I am confident enough in my opinions that I can defend them by myself.

But you? Not so much.

Justice,

You are so bad at this sock puppetry that just reading your posts makes me sense a certain desperation.

Firstly you refer to "...(T)he republicans" and then refer to "we...". Also no Republican that was conservative would ever use the term "teabaggers". No you are just another sock puppet that is increasingly showing its wear.

After that you just assert talking points that are threadbare nonsense that you have picked up from listening to too much MSM and lefty sites. You are calling for the Republican party to become more like the Democrats so as to not scare those "independents" away with all that icky liberty nonsense.

I've have always been an "independent" and I'm not trembling with fear at the thought of a more conservative Republican party.

And the thought that Mitt Romney is some sort of raging right winger is down right laughable. How stupid do you think everyone is?

No I'm afraid that you are a pathetic sock puppeteer. Perhaps you should roll up all those other socks, put them away in your sock drawer and try using one name and take the intellectual beating that "da law" has put upon you like a man.

I don't care if you're a republican or a democrat, the sad absolute fact is both are the same troubling crack whore wearing different colored dresses, willfully being puppeted by interests NOT for the benefit of the citizens of the USA. So, anybody who accepts, believes in, promotes, enables and aligns with either or the system itself is a textbook idiot, and easily more than half the problem today. Y'all keep playing into their distract, divide and conquer sham and shell game. The repubs DO NOT represent me, and the dems sure as hell don't either. Of course, anybody like me who speaks the obvious truth is derided and labelled a cook or lunatic. It's like being the only guy on a sinking ship who knows the way to the lifeboats, but whose path to safety is purposely blocked by others who insist the ship is unsinkable despite the heavy list and water steadily flooding in, and accuse the guy of being a threatening mental patient nevertheless. Get out of my way, I choose not to go down with the everybody else!

I served in the Marines, in Viet Nam. I was trained as an infantryman and served in that capacity, for one tour. Then I served as an M.P. I love my country very much. What I don't love is what the extremists in the right wing party is doing. I also don't appreciate idealogues like you. And there's no doubt in my mind that you are one. You never answered me. Where is this "battlefield that our troops are supposed to conduct their operations according to Roberts Rules of order on? BTW we are at war . There's a lot of secrecy involve in that. If you think our president has been too brutal, wait till you see what our enemies have in mind. What are you an alqaida supporter?

S/He spelled "kook" wrong. I didn't read that thinking he was being arrogant or self-promoting, just attempting to drive home a good point. Like being trapped or forced to be subject to the real kooks around him and despite all his drum banging and horn blowing is ignored and has to suffer and pay (die) for the real clueless loonies'(those blocking/ignoring the way out) sins. My 2 cents anyhow.
