GOP or should I say, the insane 40, know damn well that the Affordable Health Act will NOT be defunded. But yet they persist on this stupidity and THEY ARE in fact the ones who want the shut down as they did under Gingrich. It's long over due for this nonsense to stop and for them to get down to business and pass the budget. They have to be the stupidest people on earth. They didn't learn when they shut government down the first time and they didn't learn when they lost the Presidency. If there is a shut down, THEY will be the ones that will be blamed and will again pay the price.

Obama care is the law of the land, they don't want it, but there are more people in this country that do. Their misstatement of the facts (as usual) does NOT make it true. This stupid attempt to defund it, is not the process to take to change the law. They need to do what they have done 42 other times, submit a bill that will need to be passed by both houses and when passed, submit it to the President for signature. THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.. Move on and quit acting like a bunch of spoiled brat idiots.

The country has real issues that need attending to.. They need to do their freaking jobs and quit the BS. AND YOU NEED TO GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS and QUIT acting like sheep.

Really

The Democrats want to destroy insurance. If you wreck your car, then buy car insurance, your car has a pre-existing condition. The democrats buy votes from low information voters by forcing insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions.

That's why your health insurance costs are rising.

The House has voted, now it's up to the Democrats to debate, vote and if they don't pass the House bill, pass a better budget.

What are you smoking? Ted Cruz and a few others are true patriots. They are the only Senators with the stones to truly represent the will of the people. Keep drinking the main stream media kool aid, pal.

Obamacare was passed without one Republican vote. There should not be one Republican voting to fund it. The RINO's should not cave into the Democrat's lies and twisting of the facts. The House passed a bill that funds all of the gov't except Obamacare. The Senate should pass it too!!!

That could be a real possibility. I think when the time comes, when Hilary announces her candidacy, Obama might introduce his wife as a candidate. Behind the scenes there's not much love between Hilary & Obama.

too funny! The ACA was the cornerstone of the presidents last election victory. The ACA was passed by both houses then validated by the supreme court. It most definitely IS the law of the land. Repeal, no matter how many meaningless charades the repubs stage or how many times they parrot their ancient drivel will NOT happen. The repubs just don't know when to STFU and fight another day. Works for me LOL because with each and every fruitless move they make they secure their own demise and add to the liberals ammunition supply! They talk about "the will of the people"?? Tooooo funny! On what planet, in what dream world does our president now sign off to repeal his own campaign promise?...the one above all others that put him in the Whitehouse! Keep it up righties. You're circling the drain! LOL

Hillary, First Lady, Senator and Secretary of state vs Michele, first lady and oh yeah, lover of green beans and gyms. Don't think that that's a threat to Hillary, your next President.

What does that have to do with defunding Obamacare or destroying the health insurance market?

The Republican Party has formed a circular firing squad. What the G.O.P. is really afraid of is that Obama care will be a success. If they really believed that it was going to be a debacle they would be more than happy to let it go forward. Then they could easily win the next two elections. And then repeal the act. Bill and Hillary must be laughing their asses off.

Obamacare was designed to be a debacle. When there are serious problems, the Demorats will simply say that the gov't needs to do more. The final stage will be a single-payer government-run health-care system. Some Democrat leaders have come out and actually said exactly that.

Do you really want the federal gov't running your healthcare?

The federal govt runs Medicare. It is the most efficiently operated health entity in the world and done with less admin costs than any independent health care operation known.

Yes I do. I think that the A.C.A. is far from perfect. But, it does address some of the worst problems of the existing system. If you traveled more you wouldn't be so quick to buy into the right wing scare tactics. WE are the only industrialized in the world without national health insurance. To my knowledge not one of those countries has ever opted to go back to the free market system for health care. They live two and a half years longer in Canada than we do. About four more in France. The English have had national insurance since 1948. And I have good friends in England that , and have lived and worked there myself and most people there are quite proud of their system. Look up some comparative information (not on right wing sites) and you will see that we are way down the list on the quality of health care. The way I look at it is if I am going to pay tons of money in taxes every year, why not buy something good for the money. The desperate antics of the G.O.P. this week tells me that what they really fear is that people are going to like the A.C.A. It seems to work OK in Mass. I go there all the time and the people seem ok with it. All this talk about defunding it is nonsense. Has anyone explained how they are going to get Obama to sign off on throwing out his own act?

Senator Cruz is doing his job, explaining how Obamacare hurts people and supporting the House budget. Senator Reid doesn't have a more responsible budget; he wants to keep spending more and more without end. All in all, I like the Republican budget far better than what Reid or Obama have proposed.

They just want more of the same, continued massive borrowing and spending. We want responsibility; a government that can live within its means.

The house should send individual bills to the Senate funding each part of the gov't separately starting with the military, then Social Security, then the debt payments, etc. Obama and the Democrats can choose which parts of the gov't they want to fund and which parts they want to shutdown.

Obamacare was passed without one Republican vote. I say they should be able to fund it wthout one Republican vote!!!
