These all the guns you have seriously? I'm really looking into getting my pistol permit but heard the cost of handguns are expensive.

take one of them and turn it on yourself. People who tout weapons to make a point as to why they should have them, are the exact people who should not possess them.
This mayor is right about ILLEGAL guns. Look what has happened the other day. Makes Roefaro's message really hit home. He is on the right track here....

You probably live in a trailer and are married to your 13 year old cousin too, right?

There are already laws in place regarding guns. What everyone seems to forget is that, by definition, criminals don't abide by the laws. I believe there should be background checks, but end there. We have law enforcement officers making the arrests only to have the court system put the scum back out on the street. Quit going after the easy targets, the law abiding, and make the criminals pay.

Some people collect knives and there's probably more homicides committed with knives than guns, but you don't hear people whining to ban knife collecting. Hopefully, the OP enjoys collecting firearms and target shooting, but there's no law against collecting such. Instead of fearing firearms and their owners, try some sport shooting and talk with the folks. Some pretty level headed people there.

I'm one of those who have the audacity to decide that I AM responsible for my safety and carry a gun. I hope to God that I never have to defend myself, because that would mean my life is in danger. Thankfully right now, the odds are that I won't ever be put in that position. Hope it stays that way.

Thats garbage youcan be proud of your collection a person witha a collection like that is the least likely one to cause an issue.

Gun laws only hurt those that follow the laws in the first place.

Its the asshole that goes and buys a piece for a hundred dollars illeagaly and kills that makes the gun laws harder and harder on the law abideing gun comunity.

A person with a collection like this is responsible enough to want to keep it and diligent enough to defend himself from someone who may want to try and take it.

Some people collect shoes, some collect baseball cards. Where is all the liberal tollerance for an individual to collect what gives him a degree of pleasure? BTW, I bet not a single firearm in this collection has ever been involved in a crime, let alone a murder. Now Ted Kennedy can't say that about himself and his 455 Lincoln Continental.

You would be correct. The room that I keep my firearms in is essentially a vault, with a steel door. Combination lock that only myself and my wife have the combination. My wife and I enjoy participating in match target competitions. She's actually a better shot than me. With great power comes great responsibility. Too bad that many of our politicians and elected bureaucrats don't understand this.

I believe the guns in the picture are guns that the police have confiscated from criminals.

A: a person can have as many guns as they please as long as they are legally bought.

B: it's not the law abiding citizen that you have to really worry about it's the criminal that buys the handgun out of someones trunk that you have to worry about.

C: the gun laws are strict enough they need to start enforceing the laws on the books instead of finding ways and reasons to make things stricture. it takes almost a year to be able to get your handgun permit they are trying to make that harder to get so less people will buy them.

Sorry folks, but the bottom line is that it is better to have a gun and not need it than need one and not have it. Here in sunny New Mexico, it is still the Wild West and most folks have firearms. Not necessarily an arsenal or collection but sporting and self-defense tools. There is one southern NM county that MANDATES homeowners and citizens to have and/or carry guns. This sure is a polite state ! Most of the time the moron gangbangers kill each other and keep the gene pool a little cleaner overall, so where is the problem ? If someone wants and can afford a legal firearm collection, why is it your concern? Nobody says anything about you wanking off to soft porn 9 times a week in gloomy Utica...

You can get a good pistol for $400, depending on the caliber your looking for. It's the additional cost of the permit that is ridiculous. I think in Oneida County the cost for the permit process is in excess of $200. I understand the NRA safety course,$50-$100, and agree that it should be required but additional restrictions as well as excessive costs on people that seek to exercise their 2nd amendment rights are crap! Many other states have more lax restrictions (CO,TX,AZ) and have lower gun crime. Also, many other states have stricter/equal restrictions and higher gun crime rates (CA,FL).

Wanted to throw my opinion on that with a little help for ya!
