personal experiences have led many to believe that it is haunted, the auditorium is legend to have a "bad" ghost and the halls are said to be wandered at night by a "good" ghost. no one has yet said they see the auditorium ghost but many have seen the one in the halls inculding me. "she" is a short figure and is alwase by a window. a recent student who forgot there books for home after school late at night has a recording of noises he could not originally hear. call it fact or fiction? most people who have been there agree that this once ancient Indian berual ground is haunted.

LMAO Bastet! Hopefully the Ghost is a better speller?:) It was not a ancient Indian burial ground, it was the grounds for a regular cemetery from years ago, in the front near Oxford Road. You would think with all the land in NH at that time, that they could have avoided disrupting the Cemetery when they needed to build a School? Construction worker's unearthed some human remains a couple of years ago when they were adding an addition, and they were part of the old graveyard. Kind of creepy that they had to disrupt the final resting place of many of the original settlers.

That's very true, Mark. They have even unearthed headstones (obviously a previous grave site also)from Beechwood Ave. not long ago.

Indian burial ground, ROLOL LMBO Someone forgets their books so they bring a audio recorder. Good one fool.

I bet someone turned them upside down and then p!ssed on them.

Your not even bright enough to use spell-check, you must not have had Mrs Wrape, you would have learned something. Were you learning from Mr Wrape, he liked teaching little girls.

Obviously you are not bright enough to use spellcheck either, retard. "Your" should be "You're."

You must be a member of New Hartford's secret Numb Skull & Bones society.

It was not built on sacred burial ground; an old pioneer cemetery was "removed" to build the high school in 1954. The remains were supposedly reburied in a mass grave at the Greenlawn Cemetery near Verizon. Many graves were from the early part of the 19th century. I agree it was shameful to desecrate a cemetery in this day and age. It seems like any time they dig up part of the school grounds for pipe repair or construction they dig up some human remains, so you wonder how thorough the "removal" was. Maybe we have some angry spirits!
