There's a fine gentle rain falling and the sun is shining....there's surely a rainbow out there. Ah, we were needing a good rain like this.

It puts me in a happy, Winning mood!

Every time I see one of your posts, I smile. I don't know if you are old enough to remember a saying that was used years ago.

"You little Dickens", It was used when young children would do something wrong but cute.

I am winning

Aww, thank you so much! Yes, I've heard that saying...."You little Dickens, you!"

Are you familiar with the country music singer, Little Jimmy Dickens? He comes to mind too. But I really chose my name to honor one of my favorite writers, Charles Dickens. I'm silly and didn't realize that everyone would naturally think I was male. I was thinking about the Bronte sisters who used masculine names for their pseudonyms.(Wasn't I being pretentious! tee hee)

I enjoy your posts too! I have found this thread to be a very friendly, welcoming place to post.

Your Welcome. Last year a group of us went to the Grand Ole Opry and lo and behold "Little Jimmy Dickens" performed. He still has a great voice and is cute as a button. He will be 91 years young this year. Thanks for giving me a little background on yoursef. Have a wonderful weekend and I am glad you like our "Utica Forum"

I'll be looking for you next time.

Hi FI! Congratulations on wearing the crown this week!

This weekend my little town of Ripley, Tennessee is having it's annual Tomato Festival. Actually it started yesterday evening and will go through Saturday night. There will be lots of good music performed by locals and all kinds of events to enjoy....our version of a state fair! Do you like tomatoes? Ripley is known (at least around here!) as the Tomato Capital of the World. Our farmers do grow them big and plump and red.

Hello every winner

Hope you're all having a good week so far

Who has it hot and sunny too?

Winning whilst lounging in a hammock, in the shade of a palm tree, with a hot waiter bringing me iced drinks and the sound of the sea lapping against the white sand.
Oh, OK, sat indoors, at home, my sweating Dad has just made instant coffee, and my fat black cat is noisily washing himself. Still winning tho ;)

Hi Stocking! For a little while, I was really envying you, picturing you on vacation in some pleasant, moderate clime. I feel better now. tee hee
