I am sure, by the way you are writing both in English and in Bosnian, that l am at least 10 times smarter then you. Also, before you call someone stupid, it would be advisable to know who are you talking to. It can save you from embarrassment later.

There is nothing you can say to deny that Bosnians changed the face of this city in the short time we spent in the USA. We bought and rebuilt thousands of run down houses making a city again out of the dump all you proud Topix warriors created and lived in before we came. Due to the natuere of my job (which no-one gave to me, instead l worked my way up for it) l see financial and other type of information about local businesses and can tell you for a fact that only a fraction of American contractors do have liability insurance, Workman's Comp and health insurance for their workers, but go ahead and say all Bosnian contractors don't.
True, some don't but not all and not even majority. So mind your business, please.
Dont feed into the hate, all of us americans are not bad people and do not hate the bosnians, there are plenty of other immigrants here and most of them are productive and work, I would much rather see them living and working here than the low life americans who are able bodied and make no attempt to better their lives but bitch and complain about everyone else, just keep doin your thing man!

Thank you for your response. I don't hate anyone and l know better then to think that any one group out there is better then the rest. There are good and bad people in every ethnic group. No one is exempt.

You are not completely wrong, tell you why. When my van broke down and l took it to several garages for estimates the lowest estimate was $2500. I took the vehicle home, took it apart, found out what the problem was and repaired it in about 4 hours. Total cost:
$160.00.
Another time, cylinder head gasket on my sportscar blew and same thing. Estimates ranging from $1000-$1500. I am no mechanic by any means but l took it apart, bought $200 worth of gaskets and two days later my car was running like new.
My roof needed replacement another time. Estimates from contractors:$5000.
Bought material for $800, replaced it myself with my father in about 16 total hours. I am no contractor either. My furnace blew another time. Contractors estimates (Bosnian-$2500, US-$3500), were too high for my budget. My friend, who is self employed heating and airconditioning contractor bought the furnace for $950. I replaced it myself in about 4 hours.
Do you see pattern here?
Had l let the professionals do these few jobs l would have been out of several thousand of bucks. Doing it myself freed up that money so l could fix up my house and put the rest towards a nicer car. Do l not support local economy? I do, l am buying parts and materials localy. But do l need to let people take advantage of me? I don't think so.
So, if you see me replacing my windows, building my garage, painting my house, cutting down my trees, fixing or even painting my car, fixing appliances or plumbing in my house - l am not a contractor
for any of those things, l just refuse to get
robbed.

I like the fact that I have a block head and smell like fried tomatoes. I am a hard working bosnian, you know how tough it is to weld together two totaled cars, and sell one quality death trap with salvage history to you people? It was also tough opening the chop shop with only the 10 grand and the tax credits I was given when I came into this country. Ill have you know that I attended college here as well, Im an educated bosnian! It only cost you higher tuition for your own kids' education. And although I didnt pay for my tuition, my meal plan, books, or my dorm room, I still had to pay for all the alcohol those times I tried to get girls drunk enough to put out for a smelly, ugly, block headed, giberish speaking, mess of a human being such as myself! Its tough being bosnian in Utica and thats why we are such a proud people!

Yeah, it's easier to blame Bosnians then to admit to yourself that you are a failure!
