A thorough investigation showed no such weapons....and YOU have nothing to support you opinion except what the previous commenter said about Bush..Just a 'figment of YOUR imagination"<quoted text>
No, that is not the bottom line. Because they didn't find them doesn't mean that they didn't exist. You can't re-write history like that. The bottom line is that Saddam Hussein did have at different times WMD. The world knew it. He not only had them but he used them. He used them in Iraq's war with Iran and with no regard for his own people(Kurds). That's just a fact. President Clinton knew it two years before President Bush and Vice President Cheney were elected when he said this:
"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998 "
Hillary Clinton knew it when in 2002 while serving as Senator from New York she said this:
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security." -- Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002 "
Do you remember when this all happened? A lot of time went by between the time that Saddam Hussein kicked the U.N. inspectors out and when the coalition forces finally attacked Iraq. Plenty of time to spirit all sorts of things out of Iraq and into other countries like Syria. Do you remember that being a big concern at the time?
These are facts that I've just cited. Do you have any to support your opinion?

You can't deny obama is the biggest FAILURE in history
#59 Mar 31, 2014
Let me ask a few questions and then anyone reading this can judge for themselves.
Did Saddam Hussein on a number of occasions use chemical weapons(WMD) on his own people(Kurds in the north of Iraq) as well as on Iranians? If the answer is yes then that would confirm that at the very least he at one time he had them. It would also say that he wasn't afraid to use them.
Did Saddam Hussein eject U.N. inspectors from Iraq in 1998 and have over 4 years to move or dispose of chemical weapons before the U.S. led coalition attacked in 2003?
Could Saddam Hussein have secretly moved chemical weapons(WMD) to Syria during that time under the false pretense on providing aid to flood victims? This was a claim made in 2006 by a former Iraqi general named Georges Sada and then confirmed by other intelligence sources.
Last year the Syrian government(Bashar Assad) was accused by the Obama administration of using chemical weapons against Syrian rebels and civilians who got in the way. You must remember that. That was when President Obama said he was drawing a "red line" and then backtracked on what he said further weakening America's stature in the world. Many have speculated that the weapons used were part of the Iraqi transfer. They may be right and someday we may find that out.
That investigation isn't over.
These are facts. They are not a figment of anyone's imagination. In the months leading up to the U.S. led coalition's attack on Iraq intelligence agencies from around the world presented evidence that Saddam Hussein had WMD, had used them in the past and was probably willing to use them again. That shared intelligence was presented to congress and the result was the 2003 resolution that gave the president congressional approval to lead an attack.

Driving a car, boarding a plane, and even buying alcohol to some degree are privileges. Voting however...Is a Right! How many votes did Bush win Florida by? If my memory serves me correctly the answer is 500 votes. Also if my memory serves me correctly. 9000 voters where not counted because they where falsely listed as felons. That's How Bush became President. In my opinion we don't want to make that mistake again!

Truth - You are wasting your time. These nitwits that post all the negative judgments on your posts don't have any idea what is really going on, or else they're just baiting you. I agree with you 100% for whatever good that does. When presented with fact, and they ignore it, what else can be said?
#65 Mar 31, 2014
Here is a link to FactCheck.org . http://www.factcheck.org/2013/01/voting-consp... The article debunks the Anonymous email which claimed Obama had received more votes than people in certain counties. Not that the popular vote matter. Which is another subject all together, but Obama did win the pop. vote by 5,000,000 votes

there is nothing to bait, as 'truth' and 'for the record' are conversing back and forth agreeing with each other because THEY ARE ONE AND THE SAME!!!!! LOLOLOL

Don’t get spun by Internet rumors.
Just because you read it on somebody’s blog or in an email from a friend or relative doesn’t mean it’s true. It’s probably not, as we advised in our special report “Is this chain e-mail true?” on March 18, 2008. On this page we feature a list of the false or misleading viral rumors we’re asked about most often, and a brief summary of the facts. But click on the links to read the full articles. There is a lot more detail in each answer. If you’re looking for articles about other viral claims, please use our search function.
Does the Affordable Care Act require Medicare beneficiaries over age 75 to be admitted to the hospital by their primary care physician?
No. There is no such requirement in the law.
March 27, 2014
Did “Obama and the EPA” shut down the nation’s last lead smelting plant as part of a “back door gun control” plan to reduce the supply of ammunition?
No. The plant closing on Dec. 31 is in response to EPA rules adopted before President Obama took office, and ammunition manufacturers say it will not affect supply.
Dec. 23, 2013
Is it true that Obamacare provides for opening “free gasoline” service stations for low-income people?
No. This rumor was started by a satirical news story.
Nov. 25, 2013
Does the Affordable Care Act restrict my ability to get a mammogram?
No. In fact, the law requires insurers to cover mammography, with no cost-sharing, every one to two years for women starting at age 40. Medicare fully pays for mammograms once every 12 months with no upper age limit.
Oct. 18, 2013
Will doctors be required to ask patients questions about their sexual history under the Affordable Care Act?
No. A program created by the stimulus law – not Obamacare — encourages health professionals to use electronic records. But there is no requirement in the program to ask anything about sexual history.
Oct. 1, 2013
Does the health care law contain a “hidden” tax on hunting and fishing equipment?
No. There is a 2.3 percent excise tax on certain medical devices. Cabela’s, a Nebraska sporting goods company, applied the tax to some of its customers’ purchases by mistake.
Sep. 18, 2013
Will there be forced home inspections under the Affordable Care Act?
No. The law provides grants for state home-visiting programs for expectant and new parents. The programs are voluntary and participants can opt out any time.
Aug. 26, 2013
Is it true that there are bills in Congress that would exempt members and their staffs and families from buying into “Obamacare”?
No. Congress members and staffers will be required to buy insurance through the exchanges on Jan. 1.
May 3, 2013; Updated on Aug. 7, 2013
Is “Obama’s finance team” recommending a 1 percent tax on all bank transactions, as a chain e-mail claims?
No. This idea was first floated in 2004 by one House member, who says it would replace the federal income tax and eliminate the national debt. So far it has gone nowhere.

Do 11 states now have more people on welfare than they have employed?
A viral email making this claim is off base. It distorts a Forbes article that compares private-sector workers with those “dependent on the government,” including government workers and pensioners, and Medicaid recipients — not just “people on welfare.”
Jan. 11, 2013
Did Muslim terrorists stage a “dry run” on AirTran flight 297?
The airline and an eyewitness say this e-mailed claim is “an urban legend” spread by persons who “live in a fantasy world.”
Dec. 14, 2009
Are Obama’s early records “sealed”?
No. Many records that presidential candidates don’t ordinarily release do remain confidential, but they are not “sealed” by a court. The 16 claims in a widely distributed graphic are mostly false or distorted.
July 31, 2012
Does the Obama administration intend to “force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for U.S. citizens” through a United Nations treaty?
No. The administration plans to negotiate a treaty to regulate the international export and import of weapons. It says that it won’t support any treaty that regulates the domestic transfer or ownership of weapons, or that infringes on the Second Amendment.
June 27, 2012
Did Barack and Michelle Obama “surrender” their law licenses to avoid ethics charges?
No. A court official confirms that no public disciplinary proceeding has ever been brought against either of them, contrary to a false Internet rumor. By voluntarily inactivating their licenses, they avoid a requirement to take continuing education classes and pay hundreds of dollars in annual fees. Both could practice law again if they chose to do so.
June 14, 2012
Is it true that members of Congress, their staffers and their family members do not have to pay back their student loans?
Not true. Some congressional employees are eligible to have up to $60,000 of student loans repaid after several years — just like other federal workers. But that’s not the case for members of Congress or their families.
Jan. 6, 2011
Is there any truth in the e-mail claiming to give “a few highlights from the first 500 pages of the Healthcare bill”?
Barely. We examined all 48 claims, finding 26 of them to be false and 18 to be misleading, only partly true or half true. Only four are accurate.
Aug. 28, 2009
Will Muslim Americans be exempt from the mandate to have health insurance?
The Muslim faith does not forbid purchasing health insurance, and no Muslim group has ever been considered exempt under the definitions used in the health care law.
May 20, 2010
What about the “Congressional Reform Act of 2011″?
A viral e-mail calls for fixing some abuses and excesses that don’t exist, repeating misinformed claims that we’ve addressed before.
March 18, 2011
Does Illinois pay a grandmother $1,500 per month per child to be the foster parent to her eight grandchildren?
No. State officials have no record of such a case, and state law would not allow it. This second-hand story spread by a Danville urologist isn’t true.

The ACLU has filed no such suit, and it hasn’t sued to “end prayer from the military” either.
July 5, 2009
Has a “smoking gun” been found to prove Obama was not born a U.S. citizen? Did he attend Occidental College on a scholarship for foreign students?
This chain e-mail is a transparent April Fools’ Day hoax. It fabricates an AP news story about an nonexistent group, and makes false claims about Obama and the Fulbright program.
May 7, 2009

Is there a connection between FactCheck.org and Barack Obama or Bill Ayers?
None, aside from benefiting at different times from the charity of the late publisher Walter Annenberg. We are a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania and get funding from the Annenberg Foundation, created by Walter Annenberg in 1989. Ayers was one of three Chicago educators who applied for a grant from the Annenberg Foundation in 1995, which was one of 5,200 grants the foundation made during its first 15 years. That $49 million grant, plus additional funds raised locally, funded the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which sought to improve Chicago public schools. Obama was selected by Chicago officials (not Ayers) to chair the board set up to administer Annenberg Challenge funds, and he headed it until 1999. FactCheck.org came into being in late 2003. For other details see our Oct. 10, 2008, article about Obama and Ayers, which includes a sidebar:“FactCheck.org and the ‘Annenberg Challenge.’“
Q: Does the Affordable Care Act require Medicare beneficiaries over age 75 to be admitted to the hospital by their primary care physician?
A. No. There is no such requirement in the law.

Driving a car maybe(and that's a big maybe) but boarding an airplane if you pose no risk to other passengers or buying alcohol if you are of age are most certainly rights rights. Now that I think about it, driving a car is also a right. If a person using a valid ID shows up and wants to take a driver's test they have that right. If after passing both a written test and a physical test of ability they want to drive a car, they have that right.
How is asking someone to present an ID in order to ensure that people aren't voting multiple times or voting for people who are deceased considered voter suppression? It's nonsense.
More half-truths from the left in an effort to rewrite history. My memory tells me that in 2001 the left leaning "New York Times" did an investigation of the 2000 election and in particular the state of Florida. The result of that investigation showed that President Bush won Florida by over 500 votes. Seven other news agencies also conducted investigations and all showed that President Bush was the winner. So you can continue to parrot the left wing myths about that election or you can look at the facts. The part you leave out is that of the voters that were falsely listed on the Florida voter rolls as felons no one knows how many of them actually tried to vote and further who they would have voted for were they allowed to vote. All you have to do to convince me using an undisputable sources. That should be easy if what you are saying is factual.

While no weapons were found when coalition forces entered Iraq the jury is still out on whether they did indeed exist in that timeframe and whether were transported out of the country between the time that Iraq kicked out U.N. inspectors in 1998 and the coalition attack of Iraq in 2003.
History is very clear that in 1987 Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons(that he obviously possessed) on Iranians during the Iraq - Iran war.
History is very clear that in 1988 Saddam Hussein ordered the use of chemical weapons(that he obviously possessed) on Iraqi Kurds.
No, weapons were not found in Iraq after the U.S. led coalition entered Iraq but the evidence that Iraq possessed and used chemical weapons prior is indisputable. What part of that do you not get? If you remember(and I'm pretty certain you don't), in the months leading up to the attack on Iraq, Saddam Hussein did nothing to refute the mounting evidence that he had WMD's. The fact that he had them in the past and had used them only bolstered that evidence.
You can look this up if you care about facts. In the years since the start of the Iraq war many sources in the intelligence community have said that there is no doubt that Iraq's WMD's were secretly transferred to Syria. Many are asking if those same WMD's are the same chemical weapons being used by Syria against Syrian rebels. No matter how much you want to and no matter how politically expedient is would be for the left to close the book on this, I think it's better to keep an open mind. I do hope that one day indisputable evidence does surface that will answer this question once and for all. We just aren't there yet.

So where has anyone here made any of these claims against President Obama? What is the purpose of these long cut and paste jobs? We all know that people of all political persuasions start rumors and spread false information. They always have. It certainly didn't start with President Obama. Shall I refresh your memory about why Dan Rather "retired" form CBS News?
I made none of those claims. I just said that I think he's bad at his job and that history will show that. I'm sure that there will be those in the future who will disagree. I saw an interview(pre-President Obama) with Ed Anser (of "Lou Grant" fame) and he was asked who he thought our greatest modern president was. He said Jimmy Carter. History clearly shows that Jimmy Carter was probably the most ineffective and weak president in the modern era and, that he continues to be a hack. Anyone who say that George W. Bush is the worst president ever most certainly doesn't remember 1976-1980 and hasn't paid attention to President Carter's post White House activities. Nice man. Just not a good president. I think the same about President Obama. Nice man. Just not a good president.
For the record I believe that President Obama was born in Hawaii and that he is the lawful and rightful President of the United States. That would be all of our president, not just the left wingers.

Amongst factcheckorg's many falsehoods:
Was Obama born in the U.S.A.?
Yes. We give you the truth about Obama’s birth certificate.
Aug. 21, 2008
Let me know if you can figure this out?
4 Simple questions from a reputable attorney..........
This really should get your "gray matter" to churning, even if you are an Obama fan. I wouldn't want my hero to be made out to be a liar, would you?
For all you "anti-Fox News" folks, none of this information came from Fox. All of it can be verified from legitimate sources (Wikipedia, the Kapiolani hospital website itself, and a good history book, as noted herein). It is very easy for someone to check out.
4 Simple Questions
1. Back in 1961 people of color were called 'Negroes.' So how can the Obama 'birth certificate' state he is "African-American" when the term
wasn't even used at that time ?
2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961 & Lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, Right ? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his
father is aged 25 years old, and that Obama's father was born in "Kenya , East Africa ".
This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his father's birth. How could Obama's father
have been born in a country that did not yet Exist? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the "British East Africa Protectorate".(check it below)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenya_ ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenya )
3. On the Birth Certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital".
This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "Kaui Keolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home", Respectively.
The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged.
How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978 ?
(CHECK IT BELOW)
http://http/http/www.kapiolani .org/women-and-children/about- us/default.aspx
( http://www.kapiolani.org/women-and-children/a... )
Why hasn't this been discussed in the major media ?
4. Perhaps a clue comes from Obama's book on his father. He states how proud he is of his father fighting in WW II. I'm not a math genius, so I may need some help from you. Barack Obama's "birth certificate" says his father was 25 years old in 1961 when Obama was born. That should have put his father's date of birth approximately 1936-if my math
holds (Honest! I did That without a calculator!!!) Now we need a non-revised history book-one that hasn't been altered to satisfy the author's goals-to verify that WW II was basically between 1939 and
1945. Just how many 3 year olds fight in Wars? Even in the latest stages of WW II his father wouldn't have been more than 9 years old.
Does that mean that Mr. Obama is a liar, or simply chooses to alter the facts to satisfy his imagination or political purposes ?
Very truly yours,

According to a massive months-long study commissioned by eight news organizations in 2001, George W. Bush probably still would have won even if the U.S. Supreme Court had allowed a limited statewide recount to go forward as ordered by Florida’s highest court.
Bush also probably would have won had the state conducted the limited recount of only four heavily Democratic counties that Al Gore asked for, the study found.
On the other hand, the study also found that Gore probably would have won, by a range of 42 to 171 votes out of 6 million cast, had there been a broad recount of all disputed ballots statewide. However, Gore never asked for such a recount. The Florida Supreme Court ordered only a recount of so-called "undervotes," about 62,000 ballots where voting machines didn’t detect any vote for a presidential candidate.
