It is all personal preference where you want to sit and all of the seats at the Aud are great. Some people like to be up close to get a better feel of the action. Others want to be up higher to see the entire ice better.
BTW, check out where the pro scouts sit when they are at the Aud evaluating players. I bet it will be in the corners above the walkway.
my guess would be pro scouts dont buy tickets, they sit where no one else sits.. Common sence......

Hockey nut has it exactly correct. Your assessment makes no sense. Pro scouts are afforded a seat wherever they prefer, when they are in attendance. It is a universal professional courtesy to visiting scouts; and yes, it usually will be in the corners, above the walkway for the best view.

I waited in line, I loved when I was a kid watching the devils, and was really bummed out when they left and now I hope we can keep them here a very long time

they cant have any seat they want, there are season ticket holders. Go to any rink thats not full, all the empty seats are in the corners. Thats why scouts sit there. Any seat up high gives a great view.

I don't understand the logic behind 4 tickets+soda+popcorn =$80. Have you tried taking a family of 4 out to dinner lately? Easily $100...and good luck finding a table at a restaurant around here Thur-Sun nights.

People on this site act like everyone in Oneida County is broke around here. Sure the "city" of Utica has a high poverty rate, but look at the surrounding suburbs...the majority are living just fine.

Don't like hockey?? Don't go to the games...simple as that. I still don't understand why people want them to fail...makes no sense.

Admit it, you are just WRONG. Every professional team has available seats in EVERY section for visiting dignitaries, and are offered to them for whereever they wish to sit. You just have no idea what pro sports is all about. Too many pucks to the noggin is my guess.

i could understand that if the building had another 5000 seats.. They need to sell every seat they can. its a 4000 seat building. Ahl rules require a certain as amount for visiters, but other than that comets need to rake in the dough. Im sure alot of politicians and vancouver people will be here opening night....

Sorry bout that, but this is the Aud. I wouldn't say "crappy" ... you want a "crappy" seat then goto the war memorial.

I was down at the Aud last Saturday morning standing in line with only 9 people ahead of me at 6:00am to purchase premier tickets for the opening game on Oct 23 and we were told when they open the ticket window at 10:00 am that there were no premier seats left. You tell me how that is possible if they're not giving away the better seats before the tickets even went on sale. I ended up with some pretty crappy seats and will probably not attend another game if this is how things are going to be handled.

you misunderstand my message, wish them well, but I can afford Utica college season tickets but not comets tickets for my family. will go to some games but not season tickets. was a Clinton comet fan and still great memories from early 60's. hope aud draws many more events because of the comet improvements.

You really are wacked and jacked. As well as a fraud. Those who actually know hockey will tell you that the sight lines for best viewing the flow of ice hockey are in the corners, second tier of seats.
Center ice seats, 4 to 6 rows up, are best for people who wish to BE SEEN at hockey games. People who have exaggerated opinion of their own personna. Sounds like you fit the bill perfectly. I'm done with you now; you are dismissed.
where someone sits in a rink is personal preferance.there must be a reason why every hockey rink in the world charges more for seating at center ice and up front, and less as you go farther away and toward the corners. with your flawed thinking, your telling everyone that they have been wrong for the last 100 years. your probably the type that think they are always right and everyone else is wrong, the kid that ways always benched or cut cause he was uncoachable. im pretty sure rinks through out the us, canada, europe, ect ect have it right. and millions on sports fans know where they prefer to sit at an event. other wise the comets would have seats avaliable up close at center, but they were all sold the first two days....if you knew what you were looking at, you can watch the flow of a game from anywhere in the aud, its a small building. you really have some issues don't you???

This has nothing to do with who wants to sit where ever. It has to do with pro hockey people and where THEY prefer to sit where they can best evaluate the game which they know better than some fan. It happens to be in the corners, above the walkway in this (Utica) building.

I waited until noon to purchase 3 tickets through Ticketmaster, only because I wasn't going to travel 35 miles to stand in line. Why not take the chance and order them in the comforts of my own home. Not the best seats, but not crappy by any means. Actually, not sure there are any crappy seats at the Aud. Also purchased 3 tickets for that Friday night game vs The Crunch and was able to grab seats in 112 in the corner. LET'S GO COMETS !!!

so your disputing where the best place to sit to scout a game, which really wasn't the topic to begin with,is about where fans wanna sit. but you not disputing that your a know it all, un coach-able, and got benched and cut from teams because of the know it all attitude. and i am glad you got a job, are you working in fast food or are you the convenience store type?? or even better, do you work for parents cause your too incompetent to hold down any other job??
