Then I guess you believe O.J. when he claims he's innocent. I have a bridge for sale- in the desert.

If you've actually ever been out of utica you would realize there are thousands of bridges in the desert. I guess you've never been to arizona. Just remember it's your judicial system that found him criminally innocent.

I don't really care about all this. I think Utica and the surrounding area has some out of this world cooks. I don't care if these recipes originated here or somewhere else. We should be praising these outstanding chefs and their ability to make my stomach very happy.

Is this riggie stuff something new. I left your fair city 25 years ago and I never heard of them. Tomato pie, half moons are about the only two things I remember unique to Utica. Who cares what Mrs. Gag me thinks about where these riggie were invented. She should find out where salads were invented so she throw one in her massive pie hole time to time. Woof woof
Tomato pie and Halfmoons aren't unique there. They didn't invent either.

It's no different than the timeless oootican claims that"the Aud was the *inspiration* for madison square garden" despite hoop ceiling arenas dating back to fckng paris in the late 1800s! The aud has a minor insignificant dampening feature that was looked at and improved upon by the MSG team and that was it it was not the "inspiration" for anything more than hundreds of bullshyt stories from the food holes of uticans and dozens f fluffy utica OD articles.

Before she worked at the Food Network Rachel Ray work at yhe Ridge Terrace Restaurant in Lake George NY. Lake George is in the Adirondacks and since Utica is the gateway to the Adirondacks that means Rachel Ray is a Utican!

Rachel Ray seems like one of those fancy hollywood types, all talkin about champagne and caviar! They can throw that stuff right in the garbage where it belongs!

Real AMERICANS don't need any of that fancy stuff, all we need is some grits, a reeeeal nice smoked brisket and a 12 pack of Busch. Now that's some gourmet to me!

They say Buffalo because let's face it, more people have heard of Buffalo than Utica. The Wikipedia even says the origin is unknown. Basically, they relate it to the closest "big" city. I've been to Buffalo and no one there has a clue what chicken riggies are if they are not native to Utica or haven't been here before.
