That things would never change with the times or get better....it would always be like our "Godfather" fantasy life....mom would stay home, cook & clean...dad would work for the DPW or pizzeria and then hang out at the joints after work...the guys dreamed of playing football for Coach Pace, Orbanati & Leo...and how we wanted to be show much like them.....play the numbers, roll the dice...hang out at Proctor Park and watch life go by....that's what I remember

walking over Bleecker St. at 10:00 at night and not having to worry about what or who is behind you. Going to the grocery store and feeding a family of 6 on $100.oo for two weeks or how about the milkman that used to come to your house and deliver milk and eggs. He used to drive the Belvedere truck! I still live in E. Utica but it is like another world. My mother used to attend the P.T.A. meetings and my father would take the boys to cubscout meetings! What happened to the good ole days! East Utica you sure did bring back alot of fond memories! Thanks!

I love this thread! Keep 'em coming! I have tried to stay "in East Utica as the thread dictated but I could go on and on with other areas...:)

It is so good to look back and remember less complicated times and happier days. If only we could turn the clock back!
