New Hartford Sucks

New Hartford Parents are ridiculous. Their kids sign an acknowledgement that they will not pull a senior prank. They do it any ways. It includes toy guns. There are consequences and Mommy and Daddy run to the school board to complain their children are being punished. FYI. Life has consequences. Your kids will be losers if the don't learn this . Save some money to support them. Do you call their teachers to argue their grades too?

Two years ago the Seniors broke into the school, drank and got on the roof. They had no consequences for breaking the law because the parents threatened to sue. Teacher's Kid was involved. Good riddance to that crappy superintendent. Good luck Caz!

The problem is larger than the school system, it's at home and can be summed up as poor parenting.

"Back in the day", young people respected adults. Was there fooling around? Sure, but today's pranks are dimensions above what was done in the old days.

Now, the parents of every little Johnny and Suzie want to believe their kid is special or super talented when the reality is they're just like every other kid on the street, 15 seconds away from finding trouble.

There seems to be a stereotype when people talk about New Hartford and how there is a "class distinction" when really that is a made up idea that other people who feel bad about themselves and their own situation use to make themselves feel better. The truth is the students did sign a sheet of paper and they knew the consequences that whose arise from their actions. What is also true is that there have been papers saying the same thing given to the previous classes for years and when those classes pulled pranks nothing was ever done about it. The prank is a tradition but the punishment is not and that is wrong. Perhaps the idea of a gun was slightly inappropriate but if the faculty is so worried then maybe they should take this as a wake up call and do more to protect themselves and the students at the school. No one side is right but it's sickening to see people blaming kids for acting like kids and their parents trying to protect them which any parent would do of their child was in the same situation.

Clearly, you are one of "those" parents. Actually, I would be punishing my child. Your kid is going to have a life time of disappointment in the harsh cruel real world where there is accountability.

No shit the "real world" is cruel but these kids are still kids and if your kid was in any kind of trouble any sensible parent would try to help them. The parents aren't saying the kids aren't wrong, they're saying both the school board and faculty are wrong as well. This isn't a question of class distinction or parenting.

Aren't you the same one taking "anonymous" shots at Randall and Alvanos? Let me guess, little Johnny had a problem with some discipline and structure in sports too. Maybe he was even told he wasn't good enough. Awwwwwe....What fight will you take up next? It is a wonder anyone goes into teaching or coaching these days. The good news is the little "kids" found a serious problem with the school security. Go complain about something that matters.

Intelligent parenting is absent from this equation.
These 'kids' who made the decision to "prank" the school with a pretend
assault are the same kids that parents give automobiles to so they can go out into traffic and make life and death decisions on the road.
Someone better put things into perspective here. Especially in NH with its recent past.

Perhaps the idea of a gun was slightly inappropriate but if the ...

Yes, You are in a different world. Open your eyes. These could have been real guns. Security is lax and someone could have thought the whole thing was real. One of those kids could have been killed by someone who had a gun.

Stay your ground Ms Jennifer Spring. You're doing the right thing!

More parents should be supporting you.
You are just doing your job! It takes guts! Good for you!

The kids from NH grow up to feed the creatures from inner city's, minorities, immigrants..
Then again if they were thrown in jail they the inner city people would starve to death and this could be turned back into America instead of a giant zoo where the head primates steals all the money for it's criminal 5 IQ beasts..
Good thing the class of 79 is feeding the failure frighted freaks above.

Going back in time, I remember how the Senior Class of UFA in the late 50s were told NOT to do "Senior Skip Day" or the school officials would cancel out our Senior Ball.

The majority of us DID skip - we all went to Hinkley and drank beer and ate hot dogs all day. We all celebrated our act of difiance and went back to school the next day ready and willing to face our punishment.

Nothing happened! We still had our Senior Ball - LOL!

Seniors at most High Schools will do crazy stunts at the end of the school year just to blow off steam. School officials should always remember this - they could have done something a hell of alot worst.
