Are you serious?

Do some research on how much water these chip plants use. It is unbelievable.

Runoff is the least of the problems. It will be the lack of water that will be the problem. Hinckly, Lake Delta, North and South Lakes will be ponds during a dry summer.

This is the reason Utica is still in the dark ages. What do you think is biggest problem in this area; jobs or water runoff? Do we really want to stop jobs from coming to Central New York because of rain water. What we need are progressive thinkers who are not afraid of change. People who solve problems not make them. People who can see past their fears and are not afraid to take chances. Friggin rain water, what’s next.

Oh so you're one of those idiots that are Nanobelievers hmm? Also, you don't know much about drainage plans do you? "It's RAaAAaaaNwater" doesn't matter sue. You're an idiot if you even believe any of this is coming AND that that much water not having anyplace to go isn't a problem. Really just stfuasshole. No company is going there even the article is doublespeak. FIRST thay name 5 companies that generally won't have anything to do with eachother and often sue eachother THEN they later say there is no commitment. You're just the biggest gullible moron really. That's what you get for living in Utica all your life.

Something is obviously going there. If the State builds and owns the building and in effect leases parts of it out to private companies, the project will not be worth the investment our tax dollars. The truth is that Cuomo will announce the development which means, he will be using our money to finance it. Sweetheart deals on leases will be made and jobs will be here today and maybe gone tomorrow. Anytime the government has to create the project, watch out.

If these companies are not coming, why all the worry about water runoff? I don't care if these companies ever do come. I think it's great that the state is spending money here. The college benefits, the economy benefits, construction workers benefit. Good for us. Better here than somewhere else.

Again, this is not Sue. You need to look at the name a little closer. Also, eachother is not a word. It should be "each other". I don't really care but I thought you might like to know.

Sure sue keep playing your games. We believe you! Also if you have to spellcheck on a forum to debate, you lose.

There is nothing new to announce. No new chip factory. Nothing. This is simply an end around to get a permit from the Army Corp of Engineers for future development - which may or may not happen.

I really wish the media would report what this is versus the BS that was printed in the OD today. 4500 jobs,$45 billion in development, three chip plants - all just a dream ......

All of the recent news points to the fact that this will come to fruition someday. What will the naysayers say then?

who is trying to stop anything its called foreseeing a prob in the future the water prob and the runoff of water from this building and parking lots will be huge you find the solution the water will have to go somewhere because it wont be stored in the wet land it will have to go somewhere can you fig out the solution for this no one is trying to stop jobs we are trying to prevent a flood

Better to keep Utica stuck in 1955 than welcome progress. You're so stupid you think they can't run a pipe to the creek that runs through campus? I'm sure if they can build a chip clean room they can handle some rain, Chicken Little.
