Recently our civic leaders received federal funding to fight various types of crime, The question now is where are these mis-directed funds? A very good question currently, Have we seen results, or better yet has anyone taken credit for any results? The short answer to this is no. Crime has become more numerous in areas the police dont think need attention, recently price chopper in south utica. These problems are getting to be to critical for agencies or the public to tolerate, that's a fact, The last thing that these funds should have bought is new police cars, just yesterday I saw one so when priorities become like this it's time to evaluate your time in this town, for the people are without a voice.....

You got cars running 24/7, the wear and tear is tremendous. UPD should get some new cars every year to replace the ones not worth fixing. With that being said I also agree with some crime areas not getting the attention they should be, but the answer is putting the efforts back where they should be....in the street cops, get those "officers" doing desk work and clerical work back o n the streets and fill those positions with civilians for half the pay of an officer. Also, dis ban SOU and put that whole unit back in the squads, more manpower where it is needed!!!

Right that could be a possibility, however that seems unlikely.

Utica needs an audit staff to report on where ALL city money is spent and to advise on where to spend it. We cannot let these people decide where to spend our money! Look where it has gotten us so far!
You shuld be asking for that Marino intead of some hollow gesture of consolidation.

They wouldn't have wear and tear if they weren't racing and playing games on the parkway in the middle of the night.

How much are the consolidation studies going to cost us and who will be doing them?

Nada. Zip. Nothing. It should cost us nothing. This is what they get payed for allready! You should have been doing this once you got elected not in an election year so you can put that on your campaign flyer.
