And just so you know, I received a courtesy call from H&R Block Customer Service last night. When I talked to him about what happened he apologized profusely for her lack of communication and said I did not need to return and did not need to pay.
You are not obligated . Even if you had gone in with intention of having them file, you are not obligated if you are not satisfied. Of course, they don't give you the return they prepared.

H&R Block bank screwed me on my taxes in 2013.when I gotten my refund back the lady I just spoke to said someone gotten a hold of my check routing number and added extra money to my emerald card, BC I had it set up to were I gotten a text msg to my cell phone to when my funds were deposited to my card. So the last msg I have gotten wasn't mine supposably. 2 to 3 day's later I get a phone call from the bank last year they said I have to pay that money back, if they made the mistake it should be a loss on there behalf not mine. I think if some big company like that make the mistake they should just take it as a loss. Now dose anybody agree with me on this one, please let me know?? Thank-you very much!! I think this is wrong for them to do that to me or anybody for that case!!

How much do they get you back on taxfreedom.com ? I want all my money back I feel it's impossible to trust anyone and I don't know how to do taxes myself.

To the contrary, it's not based on your income, it's based on the forms that are used in preparing your return. It's clear either a) you didn't go there, or b) you didn't pay attention to what your bill consisted of.
So - you're either a liar, a sucker, or both.
And if your return was REALLY $400, you must have had self-employment or something beyond a simple W-2, which would have cost you far more at a CPA office than the four bills you paid.
<quoted text>

Both of you are right,if you have complex things like stocks,options and even for dependents they charge extra as wellas on mortgages etc but even if your filling is simple but your income particularly if refund is big amount they think they are rights to extract more money from us.

Cost $160 for a renter with SS and wife that has part=time job. No other deductions than standard and no other income.

Year before CPA charged me $75. What an idiot.

The amount they charged you was because of all the forms and worksheets that were involved in your return. You had dependent worksheets, a head of household worksheet and questionaire, 2 child tax credit worksheets, maybe a child care credit worksheet, 4 pages of earned income credit worksheets, your state return and that is all I can think of off of the top of my head. It seems like a lot but a return like that is not as simple as you think. Many of those credits are refundable and chances are that because of the proper filling out of those worksheets you got a lot more money back than you paid in at the expense of the rest of the taxpayers that actually paid taxes. I wouldn't complain.

<quoted text> I just did my taxes with h&r block and the exact amount they charge me was 323.00. How is it they charged me that much to do my taxes. Im a single mother of 2 children. I think they took advantage of me...
