I live on buckland and i love my home. the neighbors on each side of me are nice people and don't give me any reason to complain but i live at the top toward Hayes rd. i understand it gets a little congested toward the other end of the street but those lots are all taken anyway. if you build where it turns to the left you are fine. i understand why certain families moved but that is their business and people should just leave it alone. not everyone minds their own business but again it doesn't affect my family personally because we keep to ourselves we have good neighbors. the only real problem for everyone is the developer john bertrand and his refusal to listen to what the residents want. he is a jerk to everyone on the street which in itself isn't a good advertisement for the development. the land is very beautiful though and we have a great view.

Let's just come out with it.

The developers suck. They can't agree on what the deed restrictions should be, the residents aren't happy with them and no one does anything about it. If you want your residents to be happy listen to them, especially when they all agree on something.

To the person who said everyone keeps their properties kept up take a reality check please. That is bullsht. I have been up there several times and seeing is believing. Maybe 4 properties up there are well kept and they are trying to sell the newest house for what close to $400,000? Have you seen the house next door to it are you kidding me? The view alone is enough to lower the value $50,000.

I get it that new builders want to come in with more extravagant houses than what exists now but you have to go with what the neighborhood has become. You can't slap caramel on a turd and call it a banana split.

i looked at a house for sale there last year thank god i didn't buy it i just found out the people selling it moved because of the neighborhood. i did wonder when i looked at the home because it was practially brand new and had a lot of work recently done and it was a family with a young child. when i asked why they were moving the agent told us they wanted to be closer to family or something but it turns out they only moved a short distance away so be careful what you believe when you are buying a home! if it doesn't make sense for the people to move and leave a beautiful home something is wrong.

How ridiculous. How did you find that out? Did you talk to the previous owners? I doubt it. No "you just found out". If it was brand new then why would it have a lot of work recently done on it. Maybe the house was too small for them, maybe they couldn't afford it? You don't know. You are speculating and just causing a stir.

I believe jgaud554. It sounds like the same people I knew of. They had the home built and then over the next few years had many things redone due to bad workmanship. As for 'stupid': 1. If you are looking at a home in a new development you would know the year built. 2. A realtor will tell you of any recent updates (also in the disclosure along with year built.) 3. If you tour a home and see a crib I would assume a young child lives there. 4. As far as the 'just found out?' It's the freaking Mohawk Valley where everyone knows someone. Speculation? To what end?

I can't believe anyone is trying to act like they don't know why people have moved from Buckland. The entire street knows exactly why every family moves because no one can do anything on this street without a grand inquisition.

I have a friend who lives up there and I believe every word of what you guys have said about the neighbors being bossy and driving people away. they said two houses sold up there because of bad neighbors and the codes up there are pretty awful and the developer is a real dick.
my friend moved up there about a year ago and she got called out at some neighborhood party in front of everyone to tell them personal information about where her money comes from.
I know exactly who you mean I saw this happen and was disgusted. She was asked to explain how she could afford her car. everyone was embarrassed and sorry the guy was being a douche as usual.

Someone died up there this year and I heard it was because of the neighbors. How sad that everyone knows what horrible people they are and no one does nothing.
