You gonna give him the slap? In fact, why don't you show up at the hearing and slap him. Might make an interesting meeting. Kunkles ambulance will be standing by to haul away what is left of you.

I live near the 1310 Genesee St and agree with Mr Ford 100%.

Nothing says Utica Master plan better than a SRO flophouse for ex con women from downstate.

Of course they will also cost Onieda County's taxpayers more because these fine upstanding women will end up on the county's dole roles.

Phil Ascio,

You are obviously some limp wristed, fey, barely masculine specimen who tries to be threatening through your keyboard.

Phil if you want to toss out trash I would think you would show up at the Utica Zoning Board of Appeals and defend such a project. Maybe even try to be threatening!

That meeting is at 5pm on Tuesday at the Utica common council chambers. You can show up and explain your douchebaggery.

Of course you would also have to stand in front of Mr Ford.

And Me.

C'mon keyboard balls guy lets see if you really have any or prove that your balls are only digital.

My guess is yours were removed years ago.

By your mother.

So this is the new macho Teo. Looks like a lot of projection to me. Was it your vast knowledge of economics that has allowed you to live out your days on Oneida square in Utica N.Y? You will most likely lose your Quixotic little battle here Teo. As there is already many single residency units in your little piece of heaven. Where would you have them put this thing Teo? Certainly not in my neighborhood. mOST HOMES HERE ARE WORTH a quarter million and up. the words "property values" and "Oneida square" just don't make sense. Just try to make freinds with your new neighbors. They could probably help you develop a little empathy.

Mr Gay,

As I said earlier Mr Ascio did not show up at the Utica board of Zoning Appeals hearing tonight.

He is just another keyboard coward who hides behind his online identity.

As are you.

I choose to live here and to defend my neighborhood as well as the taxpayers of Oneida County from the importation of felons, drug addicts and assorted miscreants who will end up on your tax bill.

Of course that you live in some exclusive neighborhood who is immune to this kind of nonsense is laughable. Are we to believe you really are living the life of luxury and wish the worse on others that live in your community?

You actually have defined the term "troll" with your trolling.

By the way, the Utica Zoning Board of Appeals has denied the "special use permit" request that Ms Luther asked for.

Perhaps next time she'll ask for one in your neighborhood as she was willing to pay nearly as much for the 1310 Genesee St property for a place in my neighborhood. She could surely afford a place next door to you.

I'm sure you will support her as much as you have the residents of my neighborhood.

I would defend your neighborhood as much as you were willing to defend mine.

Therefore I fully support a halfway house for drug addicted ex-felons on your block.

Perhaps you could get your neighbors to pitch in and buy a home for the project.

Or I could put it more succinctly.

Go bugger yourself, troll.

What a joke, ruin the area, please get real. The area is nothing but bums and crack heads already. The city of utica wants nothing left in it. They discourage any and all from coming and run out others. NH is booming and Utica is history. And this is why.

Thank God it was turned down. If that did come into play the same thing will happen like when the prisons came. We would have an influx of drug dealers from down state and set up housekeeping. They want o be near their loved ones. Most of the people who are arrested are from Brooklyn,Queens, etc. That is what you people should be worried about more than depreciation of the already bad area.

Close the prisons up here and bomb the halfway houses. That will eject the scum. They will have to move elsewhere to be near their criminal kin.

Oneida Square has got a park where thousands of crows sleep in the trees (and shit all over) at night, the state/county "welfare" buildings, the rescue mission, Historical Park Apartments (low-income housing full of crackheads and completely infested with bedbugs), a halfway house for veterans, and a 3/4 house for drug addicts (that was also a functioning crack spot for most of 2011). Not to mention that one block away (corner of South St. & West) is THE hottest area in all of Utica for prostitution... people are worried that this neighborhood could possibly become worse?

The post was mine. And I stand by it. The screen name was a joke on me. Listen you pompous phony ass, just because you are living your miserable excuse for a life out on Oneida Square doesn't mean that the rest of us are also living in squalor. Did it ever occur to your petty, self centered, Libertarian mind to actually see these women as humans? No of course not. You are too full of false pride. You're a fuckin joke Teo. And it's stupid Tea Party stooges like you that just fukked up the election for the G.O.P. And it's troglodytes like you that will screw up the next one. What a loser!

glad this permit was shot down. the last thing we need in this city is another magnet for the wastrels and criminals. you'd think the harsh winters would either kill them off or send them to Florida. something's gotta give.

this city will never be revitalized if companies who could potentially employ people look at Utica and see nothing but rejects and evil people. onward and upward!

Mr. gleck,

No apology needed.

With your initial statement you represented your heartless, feckless and truly leftist heart.

You are all for the little guy. You love the urban model for the future.

But of course you are the same as the limp wristed opportunists who waited until pioneers conquered the frontier and then moved in and declared how they settled a dangerous land.

The lower east side in Manhattan is just such a place. Williamsburg in Brooklyn is now a seriously cool place to live.

You wouldn't be able to afford to live in either one today.

Neither could I but I lived in both before they were cool. People like me made them cool.

And safe.

So soft people like you could pretend you did it by yourself.

And then people such as you tried to take credit for it.

Funny about that.

Oh, and go fuck yourself.

And by the way, SRO was denied by the Utica Zoning Board of Appeal unanimously.

Perhaps they will approve a house in your neighborhood in the near future.

And you will show up at the hearing in favor of having felons, drug offenders and other flotsam to locate near your home.

I look forward to the hearing because I'll testify that it would be a great place to locate such a business.

I'm sure you'll appreciate my help to get a halfway house established near your home as much as I would appreciate your help in your help to established near mine.

Oh, did I mention fuck you?

Teo .I had no idea that you were so cool. So, after making the lower east side of Manahatten and Williamsburgh cool you decided to gentrify Oneida Square. How ultraistic!(sp?) It seems that this latest project isn't really taking off. In a prior post you expressed moral outrage that the local authorities would intefere with your bussiness and force you to properly maintain your tiny piece of libertarian heaven. Something about painting your shabby little shop. After all, who is the government to impose on how you do bussiness? Right? And now you take great pride in petitioning that same government to deny another their rights to do bussiness at all. You may have been super cool in your younger days but, now you're just a hypocritical , cranky old fart. Very typical of the legion of stooges who foolishly lined up to vote for Romney and that hideous little Liberitarian twirp Ryan. You and your ilk are the modern "Know Nothings". A big Joke!BTW I didn't apologize. that is one of your fellow stooges . You must be heartbroken about poor Willard. Like you, he's a phony piece of crap!

Mr gleck,

I'm still cool and my business is located where zoning allows it to be. I didn't need to ask for a special use permit because I was smart enough to locate in a place where none was needed.

Unlike Shawn Luther who thought that she could just prance into an area and do whatever she pleased neighbors be damned.

Libertarians do not hate rules they just hate too many illogical rules. It is sad that so many foolish people such as yourself think that to be a libertarian means to eschew all rules of community service.

But considering the the left deals in the most base stereotypes to pander to those who just aren't very bright it isn't surprising that you are part of that base.

In other words you're not very bright.

They relocate to utica, after going to the state drug rehab.Thats why we are getting downstaters up here. The local state rehab has more drugs in it than on the streets. From what I hear you can get any drug prescribed to you that you want, the doctors there wont say no, they also detox heroin addicts there so you can get suboxone there too.
