Luv people like you who are always ready to spend others' money for your benefit. Look around the US and see what your ideals have begotten. |

Judged: 3 2 1 Yes because I'd rather my tax dollars go to a hockey team than welfare programs. Sorry if that impacts you. |

Judged: 1 1 1 I can't believe you have the knowledge about this damn. Ok I'll come clean. The city of utica will be paying the Calgary flames and esche each 1 million per year for the next five years. After that it goes to 2.8 million annually. Lol |

Judged: 3 2 2 Or you could use that money to fix some of the potholes around the Auditorium. You know, the ones that we currently can't afford to repair? The roads are goat paths, but thank goodness we gots ourselves a hockey team! Hallelujah, the renaissance is here! |

You wouldn't know gov't financing from a hockey puck. It's just that I've seen your type for years promoting the public spending b/c you can't afford anything on your own dime. Doubt you even have a dime. |

Namely "How much is this going to end up costing us?" |

Judged: 2 2 1 No. Where did you get that idea? Why should the taxpayers subsidize a private business? Given that we can't even afford basic services locally I'm not really clear on why we would pay for a hockey team. In terms of cost/benefit there are far better ways to spend our money. |

Judged: 1 1 1 I agree, this may not benefit everyone but we need a good shot in the rear here in Utica. You may not want to benefit from this idea but there's a chance that it may be one piece in a big puzzle that revitalizes the area. I agree that there are other places our tax dollars can go but if this is a success, other areas of concern can be dealt with as well. We've got to start taking chances around here or we're just gonna be stuck in the mud. BRING ON THE AHL! |
