Again police failed to protect Patterson? I'm thinking they put him in with a violent man on purpose.

Law enforcement, including Officers, judges, and the District Attorney's office, continues to lose credibility with each incident.

Events that come to mind include the mulch stealing Trooper, the dog shooting retired Tropper, the wife choking New Hartford Officer, the drunken female UPD Officer who drove into McDonalds with a car, the drunken Trooper who kicked the door down in Utica last week, judge Donalty showing favoritism toward the female Corrections Officer accused of knowing falsified names were used on ballot petitions last summer in the race for Oneida County Sheriff, the UPD Officer(s) accused of planting drugs in a vehicle during a traffic stop, and Oneida County DA McNamara for continuing to use breathalyzer machines that produce inaccurate readings and he learned the machines are faulty in 2009, and the Oneida County Sheriff's decision to fire upon Mr Patterson with less than lethal munitions when he didn't threaten anyone resulting in the death of Deputy Wyman. Add to the list the recent assaults on both Mr Patterson and Mr Trebilcock. Regardless of guilt or innocence, there is no reason those 2 men were suspiciously assaulted.

That's a lot of activity over a short period of time and I'm confident there's much more that has been buried and remains unreported! When will it end?

Oneida County needs a Citizen's Review Board to be established immediately. Police policing police fails to adequately investigate, supervise, and discipline when something is found to be valid. Until power is placed back into the hands of citizens, we will not be safe from the corruption rampant in our system of law enforcement.

he should be moved to another county? his case should also be moved his captures are hurting him because he killed one of their own ? its not humaine to keep him locked up in oneida county jail with officers who are not bias... this is a danger to this mans life. his lawyer sould make a move to change of venue and if the oneida county officers cry oh well its your fault? this man is innocent untill proven guilty and i believe oneida county officers are hurting him in more ways then one i just watched a movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0427166/ and in the end an inmate killed the man trying to get vengence on someone who killed his son. and he ended up being killed because he injured an officer to get in jail in the first place.. this is how it works in the world i guess

Mr Patterson didn't commit a crime worthy of being in jail and there is no reason he should be in the company of any other inmates, especially because Deputy Wyman lost his life. Patterson learned his woman had been cheating on him, he became emotional and was on his own property with a gun he owns. He threatened NO Officers. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office DECIDED to use force against him and Patterson exercised his right to defend himself because he thought Officers were attempting to kill him. All of the above was published by media outlets. Review the law and learn Mr Patterson is not responsible for the death of Deputy Wyman.

While the fact Deputy Wyman lost his life is a tragedy, a statement from the Sheriff's Office confirmed Wyman was acting without authority in entering Patterson's garage once the shooting started. Blame lies with the Sheriff's Office in their poor handling of the matter, not with Mr Patterson.

Well, officer...I'm not related and I happen to see merits in that post. Let's see what happens when it goes to trial. Furthermore..I respect the law and am a law abiding citizen.

So, you think Patterson premeditated killing Wyman? That's what he's charged with. It does look like the Sheriffs Dept messed up. Who ordered Wyman to go in? Who fired 1st and for what reason? Was tear gas used? The think the Sheriffs dept way over reacted and created an escalation.

You sound more like a jerk. I no ones opinion other than your own matters.

Too bad Wymans dead. Patterson shot him. But, murder? Good luck.
