The message is don't do it here. And we pay for those resources wether they are used or not.

I suppose you would rather see th police i the donut shop like UPD.

DUH... the cost is equal chasing bad guys, or eating donuts.

You people are incredible!! What would the person have had to have done to justify what the police did. Should it matter what they stole during a daytime burglary? Maybe a $1,000, a car, your family's jewelry. You bitch when you see the police sitting in their car doing paperwork or talking to each other because you don't feel like they are doing their jobs. Then they all work together to catch a burglar and you bitch about that. It just goes to show that you cannot be happy. Look in the mirror and you will realize that your hate comes from your own insecurities and your self loathing.

Also... You are an illiterate POS. Nice grammar in the topic heading!

Maybe you didn't see a helecopter because (1) It was at night (2) it was very windy and raining (3) things unfolded very quickly and the closest helecopter is in syracuse (4) the helecopter in Syracuse doesn't have night capabilities ( search light/flir)

The shooting was a very sad event, that in no way should imply that NH shouldn't do their job well. perhaps a bit more zeal prior to that event could have influenced the outcome?

The chopper was flying through the area from a previous engagement, heading back to Syracuse. Monitoring the police radios, the pilot offered his services since he was a mere 30 seconds away and could be helpful. That's what police agencies helping out other agencies is all about. To protect people and there property and apprehend violators. Damned if they do and damned if they don't!

Sure he was! And Utica "invented" the helicopter just to save Tom Lindsay! Everybody knows that!
Well, your so smart with your engineering degree and high salaried income and patents and rock star uncles, you tell us how the NYSP chopper based in Syracuse, would be authorized to fly to N.Hartford round trip otherwise. Has to be approved by a Captain. Do you actually know what rank that is? You starred in Wizard of Oz, and sang " If You Only Had A Brain "!!!
