We all know Tom Giruzzi. What a surprise that he would inject his version of this situation:)
I notice he didn't mention that the chirping, causing tensions, had gone on all game. He also didn't mention that the umpires had shirked their responsibility to put an end to this before it erupted. Typical umpire reaction.
No excuse for an adult, parent or otherwise, to put a choke hold on a 14 year old minor; he will learn that costly lesson. An adult who would never had the courage to do the same if it were another adult to confront.
All that aside, it is high time the Whtb coach banish the young hoodlums on his team that embarrass the good kids there; as well as their community.

So your saying its allright for a grown man to come on to a field a grab a 14 yr old kid by the neck while that player is being held by his coach. If this parent wasn't guilty then why did he leave so quick. Even though Gaeta was trying to stop him. Wtown players and parents handled this poorly but do did NH. The parents on 1st base all told the parent to get out of their quick, and they didn't want to give his name out event though they saw what happened

Fights will happen between opposing teams in all sports. You'll never stop it. The competition gets the best of them especially when they don't perform very well. Suspensions will be handed out accordingly. But an adult coming on the field and grabbing a young boy has crossed the line. Especially when that boy is being held by a coach This is the worst and most serious part of this whole episode.

Sounds like a 17 yr old got mouthy to a 14 yr old and didn't realize the 14 yr olds brother was on the mound

The problem is too many parents try to live their failed baseball careers through their kids. Its a Friday night in the summer. I cant think if a million places I would rather be then watching a bunch of animals fight on a ball field. Animals.

<quoted text> Is it true Whitesboro was fighting with umpires in first game with Moran and were drinking at a bar between games? I don't like like NH but their kids got screwed
Yeah, didn't you see the bar set up in center field for the players enjoyment between games:) It is morons like you who enjoy flaming the fire and this must have been great for your stunted character.

I wonder what the sponsors of the teams think about this. I wouldn't want my name associated with any of these teams.

Both umpires told the police that Whitesboro parents and kids started the fight. It started in between innings after Pexton was clearly thrown out stealing. The parents on the left field line went nuts and the ump tossed a parent out of the game but he didnt leave. At that point no NH player or coach were involved at all. Then Desins came to bat and the incident occured right clear as day in front of Sal Barbero the homeplate up and he tossed the Stewart kid out of the game for pushing DESINS and Swearing at him. It should of ended right there,But as Barbero was walking the Stewart kid to the dugout his brother ran in from the pitching mound and threw a punch at Desins and from there Whitesboro parents were the first ones on the field right in front of their dugout. Would this have happened if whitestown was winning 8 to 1 ? Did Whitesboro already have an incident this year just like this at boro? Did they do the same thing in districts last year?
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENNED and Whitesboro parents were yelling classless remarks at the umpires during it all. The whole NH team is being punished because the boro catcher started harassing desins at his AB . Some Boro parents will never ever get it . They will only point to the NH father who went on the field to pull his son out of the pile only after 7 to 8 boro parents were already on the field around the fight. BOttom line they couldent win so lets screw it up for them

Dont blame NH for this crap . THe only thing a NH father did was pull kids off his son. People need to ask the umpires and neutral people who started this crap. Whitesboro parents had an incident in the first game also.

I agree. That is what happened. SOME Whitesboro parents continually yelled rude remarks to both umpires and players. I've seen the show at many many games in which Whitesboro teams played in. The AD/and or principal need to take control. AND the school board. Healthy competition is one thing however SOME Whitesboro parents and players take it to another level. Is anything going to be done about it or will this area let Whitesboro sports give the rest a bad reputation? If the punishment is harsh enough, one will think twice. If its a slap on the hand , the nonsense will continue.

Whoop! Typo! imbcile = "Imbecile". I wouldn't want to confuse anyone into staring at their screen for 11 hrs but hey it'd be time better spent judging from the posts here.

These posts fighting over ballgames are funnier than the tomato pie wars!

If someone grabbed my 14 year old by the neck. The cops would of not been there in time to stop my reaction.

Send your kids to something a little more intelligent and useful like Akido and Krav Maga classes and your 14 year old would be able to deal with it himself.

These folks just aren't getting this... much more preferring to continue the neanderthal gene pool and rubber trophy contest I see.

Its amazing how a group of whitesboro parents instigated this whole charade yelling out classless remarks and showing poor sportsmanship because THEY WERE LOSING and everyone saw what happened. They must be proud it. Ask Joe Milazzo the Utica College Coach and Whitesboro Teacher who was sitting behind the whitesboro dugout who started all the nonsense.

How about this. If your ill behaved thug of a son and three of his friends jumped my son in front of me, I would grab any punk within arms reach by anything I could get my hands on, including my son, to break up the fight. Adults should know better than to cheer on, escalate, or to stand by and watch a gang fight of 15 year olds. Show some class.

If you chose to get involved with anything other than the intention of ending the confrontation, then I would politely invite your hard ass to step outside. Without the crowd my guess is your tough guy attitude would disappear. I'm pretty confident your junior college sports days are far enough behind that, at best, you are a touch above harmless in a one on one fight.

Act tough in a crowd. Hows that workin out for the boro?

Its the NH coaches fault.IF he didnt put the subs in, they would of 10 run them and game would of ended earlier.
