So I was in a place of business last night and there was a dad & his daughter there maybe 8 or 9 & she was quite annoying and interrupting her father while talking & just needed to be the center of attention. After her playing with a bottle water & tossing it around it spilled & broke. He then slapped her kinda hard in the back of the head & swore at her & told her she would go to her room when they got home. I was shocked he would smack her like that in public! Is that considered abuse? it didn't seem to phase her!

Unfortunetly they will only do something if he left a mark. They may look into it but they usually call they person and say someone turned them in for abuse and let them know they r coming! Which is stupid because now that said person can clean and pick up their dirty house or unchain the child from the bed or the basement. Y do they call ahead I do not understand

Know your NY Laws:

35.10 Justification; use of physical force generally.
The use of physical force upon another person which would otherwise
constitute an offense is justifiable and not criminal under any of the
following circumstances:
1. A parent, guardian or other person entrusted with the care and
supervision of a person under the age of twenty-one or an incompetent
person, and a teacher or other person entrusted with the care and
supervision of a person under the age of twenty-one for a special
purpose, may use physical force, but not deadly physical force, upon
such person when and to the extent that he reasonably believes it
necessary to maintain discipline or to promote the welfare of such
person.

Dream Catcher, what was the father suppose to do, allow the child to continue being disobediant and disrespectful. Clearly he was being patient and held her accountable for her actions. Hopefully the embarassment of the swat to the back of her headwill make her think twice before acting out. Some children have some sense of entitlement and have no fear of discipline. Partly because some parents are too afraid to discipline their children for fear of having child protective called. Your liberal approach is why we are becoming a society of disrespectful arrogent pussies. If a swat to the back of the head will make my kid think twice before acting up and keeps them out of jail Ill take that....

Go have a talk with this father.

SYRACUSE, N.Y.(AP)- A Syracuse man is in police custody and his wife and two sons are in the hospital after a violent confrontation in the city.

Police say 46-year-old Lawrence Stokes Sr. is accused of stabbing his 17-year-old son Shaquill Stokes in the eye and chest shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday. He's accused of stabbing his 23-year-old son Lawrence Stokes Jr. in the face and striking him in the head with a hammer. He's also accused of hitting his wife, Carolyn Smith, in the head with a hammer.

We actually need more of this kind of thing. Sometimes kids do need a swat. Most children these days have a sense of entitlement. Parents these days do more damage by revolving their whole world around their children, and making sure that thier children only hear positive things so as not to damage their self esteem. Look at these useless 20 somethings right now. Helpless little babies. And they are the people who will be running things in the near future. Actually they already are as they love the liberal agenda. As the US heads down the tubes..........And Mommy and Daddy are still busy telling them how absolutely wonderful they are.

Abuse laws were put into place because of blacks, which took away rights from decent parents trying to raise children. The trash wrecks everything.

Here's two wonder parents.

Mom accused of stabbing son 100 times According to Assistant Chief of Police Fred Stephens, 21-year-old Cassandra Elyse Norwood was charged with murder and booked into the Athens-Clarke County jail Friday morning. They issued the arrest warrant Thursday night after interviews with family members.
