That said, some crimes are so freaking horrible (Whittemore), the perp goes to the slammer regardless albeit less time w/ a good lawyer.

well if they arrested him with no evidence they are wrong...and the officer should be fired we pay them good money to play by the book their was no reason for him to go off the page the guy should be released and the police have to build a case with what they have its not hard for them to re arrest him

Or here's an idea. Don't break the law and you won't need to worry about having an attorney. Pretty simple. Well, for most people it is anyway.
