Just bought 3 boxes @$3.50/box. Wait till u open the box up! Hardly anything in there & whats in there is baked so small. Like you're eating 1/2 cookie if that. Years ago, the family would buy a case. You can bet your apron, we won't be buying more than the 3 boxes!

Girl Scout cookies ARE a ripoff! I love the Girl Scouts; was a Brownie and a scout when I was young, but the cookies are definitely a ripoff. First of all, the troop selling the cookies gets about 40 cents per box, second, the quality has definitely gone downhill (the Tagalongs were not good this year) and the number of cookies is shrinking. Next year I'm going to save the calories and just give the troop the $ I would have spent on the cookies; they will be better off.

It's a donation. It's not going to be a large package of store brand sandwich cookies from WalMart. It's like $10 for a spaghetti dinner FUNDRAISER. Be glad you're getting something for your donation.

From reading some of the comments under the "Tier Six" topic about how hard teachers work I would have thought that a teacher would be so busy grading students' papers and working on lesson plans after school that they wouldn't have any free time to spend on Topix looking for spelling errors.

I came across this thread while researching where the cookies were made. The Peanut Butter Sandwich cookies are really good this year and I was hoping to find out what changed. Instead just stopping at my normal 2 boxes, I actually went back to their table and bought 4 more! Oh the calories!! I've eaten an entire box while writing this I might add. Instead of learning something about the cookies and where they are made, I end up reading this collection of ridiculousness about how you'll get less and like it. How pathetic! Is this what you teach your Girl Scouts? It's really simple people, its about fundraising and the cookies are the product used as an enticement to people who otherwise wouldn't contribute to your fundraising effort. If they suck, you sell less and, subsequently, raise less money. If they taste GREAT, you sell more. Period! Its that simple. If your customers are complaining, you don't tell them to suck it up. You listen to them and go after your vendor to demand better! If you can't grasp these basic market concepts then, please just stay in the kitchen. Also, you should avoid voting booths at all costs. Why? Well, because you're a brainless ass-clown, thats why. Sorry, there's just no other way to put it. All I've read here are excuses for accepting mediocracy. Sounds a lot like our local school districts! Am I'm seeing some kind of correlation between these two groups? Maybe...... Don't get me wrong, it's not my suggestion that its OK to be a cheap-ass and claim that I want my cookies at a discount it for free. What I'm suggesting is if the Girl Scouts want to sell something then great! Just sell something worth selling. Otherwise, put the cookies away and just stand in front of Walmart and ask for cash. If you're really only getting 40 cents per box like someone here suggested, that may be a more profitable alternative anyway. The bottom line is this, no matter what the cause, no matter what the market, if you make a better product, you sell more. Hmmm, sounds like capitalism to me...... Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't that one of the lessons you're trying to teach these young women? How business and capitalism work?? Oh, and one more thing. I have a spell checker you jerk-off. How about you show me some calculus? No? How about anything, even the slightest bit useful like, economics? No? Didn't think so.- Shut the hell up.
