You are clueless to what is going on there. Board members are disengaged, mgmt are bullies. Good people work their butts off only to be ridiculed, embarrassed, shunned and stifled. If board members knew what really went on at this agency. Missing funds, mismanagement of donations, fraud and misrepresentation. So very sad. Burt's vision is lost.

The perception is always that Directors don't 'do' anything. Actually, they do, depending on the corporation. There is much to do keeping an organization in balance. Contracts to oversee, policies to write, update, and enforce. Grievances to address, employee work needs assigned, followed up on, rechecked and redone when necessary. Supervisors need to be directed under the care of a Director, then that work has to be followed up on, verified and more work assigned. There is always a plethora of people pointing out who isn't doing what, so there is always follow up from The Gladys Kravitz' of the world and all their tongue wagging. You know the ones, he/she isn't doing this/that. Now they are looking at them and not paying attention to me, the one that isn't REALLY working, instead I'm nitpicking and nosing into everybody else's work. Then there are the biatches that cause trouble, making people's lives a living HE!! just because they can, and often times they are your peers. Yeah, Directors have it made. Why don't you come to work, do your job, stop the drama and go home at the end of the day. Maybe then the Directors could actually get some work done instead of babysitting children in adult bodies? Make yourself accountable, reliable and dependable, it would go a long way in allowing the work place to function.
If the agency paid a fair wage instead of an "allowance" the workers might be motivated. If the directors are doing such a great job, why is the agency in a mess? The directors make huge salaries and get bonuses on top of it.

Why aren't the directors accountable for running the place into the ground? Every department is operating at a loss. How many of you directors play favorites? A former director reported in two hours late every day. Another one looked buzzed. There is a director who is abusive, has been reported to HR, and she is still there. Why should people work for peanuts while the directors are getting big bonuses for doing a lousy job? Evidently the agency needs to hire competent directors.

Take a look at what management allowed to happen in the WIPA program. Three people left because of the one person. Multiple attempts, meetings and documentation and not one thing was done to correct the problem. A program that was put in place to help people get back to work made 3 people leave their employment! NICE!

You were wise to get out when you did. There are a lot of job postings. Workers are leaving by the day.

Are they leaving because of changes under your new leader Z or are they leaving for other reasons?

I doubt if it is legal. Look at your pay checks. It is listed under the same place as health insurance, dental, and vision. Those as well are not mandatory. Employee choice to have or not to have. This " fund" should function in the same manner.
It IS illegal! If you did not sign for a deduction, then they are stealing from you. How much money had she lost?? Go to your labor board NOW NOBODY can make any deductions from your check.

Rumors at Glenwood according to postings that folks used their cell phones to record the Big Cheese during a meeting while she was verbally harassing an employee. Video leaked to Govenor's Office, Union Prez in Capital, newspaper, or maybe back to cheese whiz herself? Interesting idea about her downfall. Digital proof of her crap not to mention others would make interesting bit o. TV. Look what it did to anybody lately getting filmed--Romney in the last election, the kid in Fergeson Mo who got shot but they put video of his stealing cigars at 7/11 on tv

Record them all. Catch them. Expose them. Make them news. Pick a reporter, the Guv's office or a staff member, a tv station, a trustworthy board member. Send a video showing what they are. The cheese whiz opens her mouth - make her the star she thinks she is. Out her. Out all of them.

Don't lose the organizations values, vision or mission- RCIL is a member organization. If we're not a member become one- read the by - laws , participate in the annual meeting and vote or reject the slate of officers board members -or see how to nominate directors who will monitor , evaluate and make change as necessary.

Want a lesson - go back an see what happened at the YWCA when the Board took action the members didn't like- 1 st attempt closing the pool 1996.

Become the change you want to see!
