Rescue Mission needs Ernie Talerico ...

I think that Ernie is great. He has done a lot for the Mission and deserves the credit. However, Ernie never got the opportunities to be trained to understand what it takes to be the new Executive Director. Dodge held people back in their chances to grow. I think that Ernie would be a great candidate for the top job somewhere after a few years under a leader that will lift him up.

The issue is still Mike Dow (Controller) who covered for Dodge for years. The board has placed him in charge and the new leader will never have a chance with Dow there. The board needs to finish the work and get rid of Dow next.

Sounds like the problem is a Board of Directors with no back bone. Maybe they should step aside. How do you get rid of Directors if necessary? I think people need to keep a close eye on this situation.

I thought the Board of Directors was made up of Oneida Counties elite business people. Their non action smells of a cover up. Seems like they are more concerned about Bill Dodge, than the well being of the Rescue Mission. Must be they are afraid to have someone honest and creditable like Mr Talerico in charge. They should be aware that all their dirty secrets will come out, just ask Dodge.

The board is partially to blame, remember this people do not spend time in the mission they do not get to see the day to day ineptness of their employees, specially directors, is more an honorary job and exposure to the community,

Ernie knows mission work, he know what it takes to bring the mission to modern times, the mission still operating in the 1820's. So how I know this????....I was an acquaintance of Bill, unfortunately he should had never been given that position, how I know Ernie?.I used to attend community meetings so I got to know him.

I have damaged the Utica Rescue Mission so badly that no one will be able to fix it for 20 years. Yeah, Mike Dow needs to go. Hank Visalli may have his heart in the right place, but, he's surrounded himself with idiots like Dan Smith, Lynne Potoczny, and Christina Mason. That alone shows poor leadership.

I saw Bill Dodge in action years ago. He is a professional con artist. He's about as Christian as that tree stump in my backyard.

Utica is the last place that Bill was needed, the mission was not the place for Bill to do his embarrassing actions, maybe there is no place to do that, but to choose the mission and preach about God and right and wrong while he is galavanting and parading with his despicable boy friends, is not only immoral but plain stupid, not thinking about his family, specially his daughter, the wife she knew and she dealt with it, after all she does like her life style and thas the price she pays,
The board has a difficult job, they can not afford to mess up again, get stupid once you OK, get stupid twice you are an idiot. I heard good things about this guy Ernie give him a chance, he can't do worst than Bill.

I say call the cops, have this pervert Dodge arrested ! If he embezzled funds he has to go to jail ! This doesn't set a good example. The media should do some investigative reporting on the Rescue Mission, laws were broken and somebody got away with it !

I'll start donating to the Rescue Mission again, until the Rev. Bill Dodge is in jail. They have to do what's right before they get my donations again !!! The board has to smarten up and bring out his wrongdoings publicly and press charges !! Enough of this "it's not best for the mission",he broke the law and he must pay the consequences. I hope everybody follows my lead and stops giving to the mission until justice is served !

Send this corrupt, perverted, christian to prison were he belongs. Put him in the same block as all the pedophile priests are. He is not above God,if he broke the law he should be tried, convicted and sent to prison! Lawbreakers must go to jail !

I also will not be donating until they straighten out that mess at the mission. I donate a sizeable sum of $ , so they will feel the difference this year.

I'd like to see restitution. Sounding like they paid him off. Not honorable at all.

Why did the board of directors allow the actions of Rev. Bill Dodge to continue ? Are they just as guilty as him ? I can see why they're afraid of bringing this out publicly. Are they afraid of losing holiday contributions by airing their dirty laundry ? There are a lot of questions but at the mission wants to answer them. Not a good example of a Christian organization, shame on them. God will get them back on his own time. The public will find out in time.
