Across the street from the ice cream place.
Has a Lawless real estate sign on it.

What bar was this?

It was the New Owls Inn for many years. It would be worth it for somebody to buy it, fix it up, and put a restaurant/bar there. Or just a bar... the place is in a great location.

I bartended there for years long time ago. It is not a great location, sure for locals, but nothing else. They want like 95k for it. Have you seen the upstairs or the property it is on. I wouldnt give them 5 cents. It needs about 250k worth of work. Was owned by the mahoneys for years. Old man Mahoney died and then she married her nephew (lol, not kiddin) and the place went to crap. It was stans hotel back in the 70's Was real nice then.

I've been in the apartment above the bar, over 20 years ago, though. it was a dump then (the whole place was) and it's way worse now. no work has been done on the place since it was Stan's Hotel years before that. It wasn't JEAN MAHONEY's her nephew that she married after her 1st husband Bernie died. She married a guy 20 years younger than her who just happens to have the same name as her deceased husband. i couldn't see that place selling for more than 50K. it should be torn down and rebuilt. and it's definitely NOT in a "good location." It's in a crappy, tiny neighborhood for one, and who drives all the way to clark mills just for a beer? most of the locals just go the legion to drink and hang out anyway, and that's a pretty decent place.

Many said that Knuckleheads wouldn't make it also, being in a small town. The place definately needs to be overhauled big time. But I think that place could have some potential. It takes $$$ to make $$$$.

Is it zoned for nudity? Perhaps a hoochie-koochie strip club would breathe vitality into the area? Also, customers would be less likely to pay attention to any issues of disrepair if they're concentrating on the stage antics.

there was nudity when it was the Owl. After 10, the name changed to the Dirty Bird, and anything could, and did, go on.

Saw a sign with the new name 'Tilted Tavern'. Wonder when it will open.
