I went there,,,,Texas Betty is decent but shop is kinda dirty...my last 6 tats and counting came from Jay Decker at Tattoo U on Bleecker. If you want a variety of style in one artist go see him.

I've gotten 2 tats there.... I love 'em!!! I won't go anywhere else... They are a bit behind as far as equipment goes... They got good needles and shit, but you're gonna be sitting in a metal fold out chair.... lol... Great place though!!!

I kno 2 ppl that went there..1 had 2 go back because the ink didn't hold well at all..and the other guy the tat is wayyy 2 small (problem with that is a good artist woulda told the cust up front it needed to be bigger)..personal preference is to deal with the arrogance of a cpl of the artist at eternal n get nice nice clean good work..

I found them all to be talkative and helpful when I went there... The same for my girlfriend and her brother.... And sometimes people react to the ink differently... They do all touch-ups for free for at least the first year... I know you get one or two if needed... I haven't needed a touch-up at all and it's been about 4 months since I got my first tat done there... I plan on going back there...

If you say the shop is dirty you've never been there. They are ridiculously clean and the owner is a total germaphobe. The place is fresh, clean and the artists are friendly and guarantee their work. If anything's wrong, they touch it up for free, even if it heals bad because you didn't take care of it.

My name is Betty and I own Bodily Charm. Seems only fair that I can comment here. I have over a decade of experience in this industry and have traveled a lot in my career, working under various licensures and regulations. To be fair, the reason I use metal chairs is that they are easy to sanitize. We do, however, have comfy chairs and equipment for every type of body part we work on, which are all non-porous and easily sanitized. Secondly, as far as cleanliness goes, not a day has gone by that this shop was not cleaned and sanitized from the top down, including during our recent remodel. We have an autoclave on the premises and separate rooms for clean and dirty implements. NYS does not regulate tattooing at all, but we apply the standards of the Texas Health Department's Tattoo and Piercing Code, as well as that of the Alliance of Professional Tattooists. Are there other tattoo artists better than me? Sure! I know many. But I will say that my portfolio speaks for itself and I am available at any time to give any potential client a tour of my shop, allow them to view my work and answer any questions they might have. All the artists who work here have their work displayed on Myspace, Facebook and our shop's website, bodilycharm.com . If you like the work, feel free to stop in. Thanks!

I hope you are as good as some people here are saying. Maybe we can get real lucky and you can put that lazy, 1/2 ass tattooing Todd Hunter out of business. I'll have to come see your work because I have a horrid sleeve done by Humter that needs serious help. Its been shit since day one but thats what I get for not doing my homework on the artist first. Its sad I had to pay a QUALITY artist to fix what I already paid for but I still have more sections left that need to be redone. Unless you have a paint by numbers tattoo stay away from Hunter unless you want your work to look like a 6th grader did it, trust me I'm living proof.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Every artist has a different style. It's always best to find an artist with a style that fits your preference. My work is pretty easy to find online, so you can check it out and see if my style suits you. If so, maybe we'll see you soon! If not, checking it out ahead of time will save you some gas!:)

Are you fucking serious? GO BACK TO TEXAS THEN! Oh wait you probably can't because any shop in Texas would throw you and your HACK crew out in the street, set your supplies on fire so you can't screw anyone else up. And no you're lying I have been in your shop and it is filthy and it smells bad sorry try to lie to someone else. The only reason you're still in business here is that there is no health department regulation!

So why do you only have like 20 pics of piercings in your "piercing" portfolio and 16 appear to be infected or in a state of rejection? Why can't any of you answer questions about dermal anchors? Oh wait that's right any you do fall out!

Another fine example of people with just enough money to open a so called tattoo shop doing so.

Girl owned and girl operated = total bullshit! Another lie!

That retard you have piercing people is a guy not a girl.

Wow, you must be a Male owner of another tattoo shop, I sense a little jealousy.
Betty is amazing, she has done all of my work! and will continue sending people to her shop, which is CLEAN...

To Mike M of Utica, I am glad to hear your tats came out fine from Jay Decker @ Tattoo U. Mine is awful. I have been to other places and have had great work done. Someone told me Jay was one of the best artists around, so I tried him out. Unfortunately, I have to say he is not. My shoulder tat is f'ed right up!

Im not looking to bash but this is an observation. I looked at the pics and they appear to be either misplaced on a bicep or the rocker style wording is higher in one area and doesnt appear to flow with the rest of the tattoo. Ive got a few tatts and I dont think Id be too excited about that.

I have a tattoo of a battleship on my butt. I got it years ago when I was in the Navy. A lot of chicks dig it.
