Actually a youth wasted chasing balls around to please grown men is what typically comes back to bite them in the form of a nowhere career. This is part of the dumbing down of America. Teaching little boys to argue and act like retards is a recipe for future failure, as is evidenced anytime you see underachievers in the world.
Is it any wonder the most dumbed down, poorest areas in the US have laughably obsessive "sports teams" that suck up all the air in anyone's education? Not like the NY schools really educate kids that well but just saying. These people usually end up a "coach" a fire dispatcher or otherwise lowly public servants all you have to do is look around, and listen to the lunatic parents vicariously living through their kid's so-called "sports career"! What a dream lmao!
We all know who got cut from their school teams. Sports teaches teamwork, dependability, and loyalty among many other qualities that lead to success. Not to mention what it takes to make yourself better. Seeing the hard work you put in lead to getting a positive result. To make winning a habit no matter what it is you do. Your crazy to bash "chasing ball around."

Whats being lost here is the fact ND still won by 30 points. Leave coach alone, he is doing his job and doing it well. For this much negativity to come from a "team win" is the real disgrace.

You are misinformed. No they were not fully aware that they wouldn't play on Saturday. When they went to boot camp their coach said they weren't going to play. Their coach's boss ordered there be no penalty for attending boot camp. She is at the top of the chain of command at Notre Dame. As a Navy vet (thank you for your service) you above most should understand chain of command, order and discipline. Abraham violated a direct order from his boss. What lesson does it teach these young men if there are no consequences for that action.
Thanks for being a voice of reason on this forum. I'm not buying the "kids safety" line. These kids probably did more physical activity last week in boot camp than was done in practice. They didn't know the game plan but the game was over at halftime. Coach needed to make a statement.

Your response is moronic. Player safety and game prep has nothing to do with any physical activity they may have had. If you have no clue, why even comment?

Another thing that is so foolish about all this, is these parents are spreading lies that the kids had to go on this trip.
NOT TRUE. there were other kids ROTC kids that didn't want to go, so they stayed, and their ROTC grade is not effected. Only the kids that want to be considered for an officer position had to go at some point in high school, and there are other boot camps to attend.
Also, people need to lay off the kid, not his fault who his parents are. His father has always thought his kid was something special and tries to control everything. You should have seen him in little league.
Quit saying how it was not mandatory for a ROTC cadet to not attend boot camp. You sound very ignorant. It is MANDATORY for a ROTC cadet to attend boot camp at one point in their ROTC career to graduate the ROTC program.

Okay then, what is your school's graduation rate/going to college every year? I know that Notre Dame has 100% in both categories.

Any time parents step into the sports arena that their are on the potential for a rotten outcome increases.

No one has bothered to check with the kids to see what their take is on this. I would bet that left to their own devices when this weeks game time roll around the Clinton game would long be forgotten. After all, how much fun is it beating up on a team that is overmatched from the start.

Everybody has lost sight on the game in question.

It just dawned on me that the reason it became an issue is because it was an easy opportunity for the ND kids to shine against Clinton. The kids never showed how great they were against the Clinton Pop Warner equivalent team.

actually the kids who graduate go to many different schools and they have a 100% graduation rate. Many kids that attend notre dame do not end up going to MVCC like most kids these days...

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

. This lame shit is brought up all the time. The reality is take 70 kids, from any school, in the area, including Proctor, with the same demographics, and you will get the same results. Come up with something new, will you please?

Ahhh the historically proven losers of upstate raising their kids to be pathetic adults. Sorry loser. Not all of us hung our futures or worried about being "cut" from the pathetic team. What big important pragmatic "values" you have "sport"!
