"If you disrespect the coach, you disrespect the teacher, the bus driver, the policeman, the neighbor next door, the mayor, the president, etc."? You sound like an idiot. These team sports are part of the downfall of education. Never saw a coach who wasn't immature, a pedophile, a loser with no future hiding in the "glory days" of their past or just clueless.First of all: Lay off the Gilroy kid. All of you.
He is not part of this. He's just a young kid enjoying his high school and young life.
Second of all: We reap what we sow. Be careful that this doesn't blow up. It sets a dangerous precedent and is everything that is wrong with youth sports. Parents need to stay out of it and let the coaches do their job. They deserve the respect that their role provides. If you disrespect the coach, you disrespect the teacher, the bus driver, the policeman, the neighbor next door, the mayor, the president, etc.
Is that what we all remember from our youth because I don't. We brought it to the field, the gym, or the playground. We policed ourselves, we took care of others, and created bonds and memories that last a lifetime.
What's next. A public lynching for failure of a coach to play someone the amount of time a parent felt was appropriate for his child. After all, tuition dollars are paid and that "ENTITLES" the player and family to their fair share of the playing time. Maybe the other team won't mind if special care and treatment can be provided so that everyone will no who the Special Child is.
See that's my son out there. He's the best player on the team but he lets everyone else play more because he's that kind of boy.
These parents would work great in bowling, swimming, or golf. I can just see it now.
Hey Coach, my son has much better bowling form than Jimmy Who averages a 220 game. After all, Jimmy hooks the ball and my son bowls it straight. I know my son bowls 120 but just look at his form.
That's my daughter doing the breast stroke. Just look at that kick. She learned it from her personal swimming instructor. Yes dad, but her times are 20 seconds longer than the next kid on the team. But coach, she can hold her breath under water while she chews gum.
That's my son on the third tee. He's got the newest Titleist driver and plays the same irons as Tiger Woods. He takes his lessons from Phil Mickelson. yeah dad, but he's 12 over par after 2 holes. at this rate he'll be out of balls by the 4th hole.
Maybe its' just time to take up fishing. You and your family can just not get along with others.
Normal people today prefer to teach their kids marketable skills not collecting plastic trophies. Can't wait to see the little golf hero wannabees working in the usual menial job and having the prerequisite mental and maturity issues in 7 years! Just reading the pompous attitudes and ridiculous dreams in this post shows you this, and where it comes from!
The results of the last 40 years of sports in your area do not lie. It's a farm for the losers and the underachievers. If I interview someone and they start going on and on about their sports I dismiss them and know other people who do too. Having fun is one thing but you idiots that act like it amounts to anything are little much. Have fun at the prison job.
