I was just told by a player that the kids that went on the ROTC trip absolutely knew they were not playing. There was no question at all. Abraham was very clear. no one even gave this a second thought until Vinny Gilroy created a scene during game, and then yelled at Kane and Leuthauser after the game.<quoted text>
Why was he suspended then do you think?
Because a few parents made some noise about their sons not getting in the game? Hardly. I think they were rightfully upset because they understood that there would be no penalty for attending boot camp but at the core I don't think that is why he was suspended.
I don't think it was crystal clear to anyone who's children were told that there would be no penalty for attending boot camp.
The lawsuit idea is ridiculous and it's just a convenient cover for trying to explain away the insubordination.
I think he should have been fired for insubordination because no matter what you think you know there was a pronouncement made that there would be no penalty imposed on players from and sport that went to boot camp. You need to look into that a little further.
Why do you think he's been suspended?
If any coach is fired it wouldn't matter a lick to most people. It's a school not a football factory.
Why can't this just be as obvious as it is? JP Gilroy doesn't play, daddy is angry his future hall of famer is watching the other kids play, the team wins big which brings out the Bad Vin, who then abuses his position on the school board and convinces his friend Jones to boot the coach? if it smells like crap, its crap.
