Always shop at price chopper. Support local business...well local for Albany.
IF Price Chopper considers that this is what is keeping them in business here in Utica, why don't they show their appreciation and start lowering their prices?

Pricechopper has ALWAYS had high prices and poor service. When was the last time a cashier OFFERED to put your bags in your cart for you without you asking them to do it?

The cashiers at Walmart are much more friendly and helpful, along with the fact they are trained to check you out much faster than any cashier at Pricechopper does.

you just have to spend the time doing the research. I find Price Chopper's sale prices are far better than Walmart's daily prices for the same items. Especially when they have Buy 1 get 2 on certain items like bread. I never buy ice cream at WM. Their prices are horrible for that. I try not to buy meat and produce there either because they're just not that great, and honestly those prices are nothing to write home about either. Hannaford is ok for a few things. Mostly they are just convenient to where I live if I need something quickly. Don't forget Chanatry's as well, especially if you really want to shop local. I prefer their meat and deli, but WM's deli prices are very good.

U-Town could use a PriceRite. Some of their prices are 1/2 or less than Wegmans or WalMart. There are three in Rochester. Not sure if they are in Syracuse yet. I think a PriceRite would do well in Utica.

Are the prices for the same items different depending on the store?
The same is true of Walmart N. Utica vs Walmart New Hartford.

I steal all my food from walmart when the free food runs out, last week I was able to give a stock boy a good cleaning in the bathroom so he let take lots of food.
