I never really checked, but it always seems like I spend much less money at the north Utica location than when shopping at the south Utica location.

Are the prices for the same items different depending on the store?

If you ask me, Walmart's prices have slowly and quietly crept up there and they don't even double coupons. I think people assume that their prices are low because in the beginning, they seemed to be cheaper than any one around. Now you have to watch prices carefully.

Agree, good prices and although some of their products seem slightly inferior I do like their fruit, eggs, cheese, butter and many other things. I think having them in our area is good for the competition.

When your entire family of 18 all live in one room that's probably the only place you can find any privacy. Cheer up though, if you're lucky maybe someday you'll live in a place with indoor plumbing.

Pricechopper's prices are at least 40% to 90% HIGHER than Walmart's prices.

The only reason the majority of people that do shop at Pricechoppers is for the gas discount.

I would rather shop at Walmart's and save MORE money than I could on using Pricechopper's low gasoline prices.

If you spend $20 on groceries at Walmart, you will leave with at least 4 bags of groceries.

Do the same in Pricechopper, and you will only fill up ONE bag!

Walmart has always been lower priced and will continue to beat Pricechopper's prices.

I shop Chopper for the meats & fruits/veggies.

Frozen, canned, breads.........Walmarts prices can't be touched by Chopper.

I'm glad I'm near both.

Agree.....most shop Chopper for the gas discount...although, it's raised where u need to spend $100. Easier for a person w/family. Harder for us singles.

Too bad we couldn't get a Wegmans where the old Rite Aid on Auert used to be.......just saying.

The food at Walmart is unhealthy. It is loaded with sodium and other fattening preservatives to give it a longer shelf life. They have to do this because they buy in bulk and the food sits in giant warehouses for months before it gets shipped to the stores. Ever noticed how everybody that shops at Walmart is so fat they need a motorized cart just to get around?
i hate to tell you this but pretty much anything price chopper carries can also be found at walmart......

No. Walmart branded products are made using slave and child labor, they do not pay their US employees shit, either. I'd rather pay a bit more if that money is going to the employees, rather than on top of an already huge pile... I just wonder how the Walton family sleeps at night knowing how their employees struggle to get by,while they live in the lap of luxury. Fuckers.
