Its plain to see that my one comment has stirred up many many emotions, just as I knew it would! Get back to talking about the murder and how tragic it is,and keep asking God to bless everyone and make everyone feel good and hold everyone close and make everything better, keep pretending and everything will be just fine. Good Bye!

They probably had his make/model and license plate of his car on file, because he had to register the car in order to get a temporary parking permit to stay overnight at the dorm to visit her. That made it easy for an APB to look for him on the Thruway if he was fleeing home.
I can just picture this mongoloid driving home after he killed his girlfriend. Probably still thinking he is bullet proof, thinking about his chest workout the next day, wondering when the NHL is gonna call. PFFFFT. Sports hero/life zero.

Please stop debating religion on this thread. It is disrespectful to both Alex and her family that you use this tragedy to vent your religious beliefs. This is not the time or place.
Guess god was over duty that night. Lets all pray for the families. Kidding... we all know religion is a crock.

If you see recent pics of him, he looks eerily very much like that Joran Vander Sloot who killed Natalie Holloway in Aruba. Same crewcut, same face, same build. Large out of control drunk jocks who killed a petite girl.

Yes, she sounds very uneducated. I am a physician in New Hartford who attended Cornell. Our buildings were locked, I could hear noises-- party or not. I had to get a parking pass if a guest visited me for an over night stay. We also had to check in with the security at the gate when we came in after midnight. I would like to hear the colleges take on this issue instead of this dope Sally! I am not blaming the college just asking some valid points. Don't answer unless you know!

Its Sunday morning and I cannot believe this is the page I clicked on this morning. I suppose I am looking for some shread of decency on here towards both families, and all I seem to be reading is garbage with a few bright spots. The bottom line is this people. Clayton was a wonderful hockey player in hs, is a son to parents who love him, a brother to his siblings, friend to others, and a boyfriend to one little girl who is no longer with us. And it appears as if he is responsible for her death. I cannot imagine or swallow the hardships and pain of both families for Clayton's wrong doing. But, He is a human being with ups and downs like all of us. None of us know the facts except those that were in the room that terrible night. As for Alex and her family, I can only imagine they will not have peace for a long time. And if you believe in God or not, say a prayer for them or do whatever it is you do when in need. Both these families need he support of their friends, family and community. Not us on here posting and argueing. New Hartford is a safe, clean, near crime free place to live. I know, I grew up there, have traveled, and miss the little town. People who live there are not scum, thugs, or anything like that. Most are married still, have good jobs, and raise their children well. But kids do what they want no matter how well you raise them. Clayton was not a spoiled kid, or entitled, as some have said. And Alex did not deserve what happened to her. There are two sides to this story. Two victims, and of course the families are victims as well. It would behoove everyone to try to imagine yourself in the position of both sides. If you were Alex's parents, how would you feel? Pissed off...? Revengeful...? In immense pain...? Wanting Clayton to pay for the rest of his life...? IF you were Clayton's parents, how would you feel. Shocked...? Hurt...? Curious as to how your son could do such a thing...? Remorse...? None of us know how either parents feels. None of us know what went on, exactly between these two young people over the course of their relationship. All we know for sure is that they were dating, the young lady has lost her life, and Clayton is most likely responsible and has apparently admitted to it. But Passing judgment is not our job on either side. Pull together people. Show respect for you and everyone else. No one knows what goes on in anyone elses life to make them behave and do what they do. The passing judgement needs to cease, for the sake of both families. Send cards, love, support and prayers, not insults and opinions about something none of us really knows about.
Kogut Family: I did not know your daughter, but my children did. We send our love and support to all of you during this time. May her memory live on forever. Our prayers are with you. Stay strong.
Whittemore Family: Sandy, I am praying for you. I wish I was back in NH to pay my respects to Alex, and hug you. Do not blame yourself for this. My prayers are with you. Stay stong.
May peace and love find both of your families, and your children.
This is my last post.
If ONLY we could believe ths is your last posting.

I hope that other girls come forward who he has abused. Alex was not his first. Anyone who knows him, and that includes the hockey team, knows he was a walking time bomb. Everyone needs to step up and speak out. He can not get a reduced sentence.
