How can anyone have any sympathy for the Whittamores they raised a evil evil son a low life, and drunk, a animal who should be put to death this is their fault for failing to raise their son properly i hope they enjoy living with the fact that this poor girls life was taken by their monster son whom i bet they still love

Sue Nammi wrote: If you had said last week that this Wittemore kid was capable of murder and the victim would be Ms. Kogut, I'd bet the overwhelming majority of his friends or those who knew him would tell you absolutely no way. People have no idea what other people, no matter how close, are capable of or what goes thru their minds. I would be willing to bet that PLENTY of people close to BOTH of them either knew or suspected that he was beating her. Murder is not the first sign of abuse.

I don't but I'd like to know if they truly brought up their son to be this way or he did it on his own. I've seen people have great kids but then turn after time and become terrible citizens. Just curious.

Totally agree she was a sweet, beautiful girl however this kid is not sick HE IS EVIL Tragic wrote: Alex was a sweet, beautiful girl. It's a real tragedy to see something like this happen. This just goes to show what people are capable of doing and what a sick world we really do live in.

May God be with both families. And the OD is just doing their job. Sorry, no god. Just a cold blooded murderer from New Hartford that happened to be good at a sport. I blame the derelict parents for failing him.

He didn't have any marks on his hands that I could see in the video clip. I wonder who took the FB page down. How does that happen? Parents ask him for his password?

My heart goes out to the Kogut family, friends, and all that loved her. There are no words to express, that would explain my sorrow and heartache for this beautiful girl. As you stated above murder is not the first sign of abuse and it is not always visable to detect.I know a girl who was abused by him and never said anything in fear of being ashamed, humiliated, and fear of what might happen if nothing was done in her defense. I am not sure of Clayton's mother, but I know he witnessed violence from his dad, which still does not justify his actions. I myself am a product of several types of abuse and I have not harmed anyone, nor repeated any other form of abuse i was raised through and subjected too. Do you think if this girl came forward in this case it would help on Alex's behalf?

What alerted her mother to trouble so that she called campus security? Also what are her parents names. I went to high school with a Kogut? What a sad story.

One article said he admitted to killing her but when he was arraigned he pleaded not guilty. From what I've heard, it seems like the police know they have the right guy. As far as this girl you know coming forward, even if it can't be used in Alex's case, her parents may really appreciate hearing this girls story. And this girl may really need to get it off her chest. And his parents should know that this horrible tragedy was not just one isolated incident of their son snapping. I wouldn't be surprised if they are somehow blaming the victim for their sons sick act of torturing this wonderful young lady

And I am not saying what happened is okay, because it is not. Truth is, we raise our children with the abilities we have and at a certain age, our children tend to do whatever the hell they want to. You must not have children, or you would know this. Evil is in all of us, some of us can control it and some cannot. But there is also good in all of us and the same rule applies. Without knowing the family, how dare you judge them. And it is not your place to judge anyway. It is Gods. May he teach you to control your tongue and fingertips!

If his parents are blaming this girl they are just some typical new hartford low life family. They should be ashamed of their son. Look at the picture in the Utica OD he even looks like a nut case Nh wrote: <quoted text> All who know him, knew he was a walking time bomb.
