What's up with Valley View Golf Course?

A friend and I recently took up golfing and wanted to go to Valley View.(I've lived here all my life and have always wanted to play there) We got told that 'before noon, you need at least 3 people' There were other people playing as a double, and many singles!! Just because we looked inexperienced, they denied us entry. If this was any other golf course, then I would say OK, the people there are just like that... but this is a Municipal golf course!! I've lived here for 30 years! I have every right to play there. I have no problem letting people play through. I wasn't rude to them or anything.

Hey Dummy!! This is not an unusual rule and frankly is in place at public golf courses all over the country. Rather than demonstrate that you are an ignorant golfer, why don't you go take some lessons from a PGA professional who can teach you and guide you to becoming a real golfer.

I'm a casual golfer, I don't need to take lessons from a pro... I have no intention on going pro. It's a game, and as such, I want to have fun playing it. Just because I'm inexperienced doesn't mean they can tell me I can't play.

Don't take it personally, those are just the "rules" there. My husband has played there off and on for years (is also a golf pro) and it doesn't matter who you are, that's just how it they operate.

Yes I am sure you knew a lot about his kids when you can't even get their last name spelled correctly. Watch yourself....Old man FURGOL's "stuck up" kids have kids now and they don't need to read that nonsense. Have some respect.

"Only friends and family" get to play as singles or doubles all day. And now that we control the golf course, it is going to stay that way. You don't like it--grow a vowel at the end of your name, eat at Chesterfelds (yuk) and attend the Mayors Ball.

The course is in great shape this year! Its probably the best I've seen it! Its clean, the ruff is about 3 inches, new sign in building, new granite hole markers, and most of the cart paths are fully black topped! We played friday after 5 PM and they even had a refreshment cart out on the course!
Its a great course and designed by Robert Trent and its a city owned course to boot!
Get out and play it!!!! Stop your bitching!
