That is exactly what all professional estate sales people do. It's part of the deal. If it doesn't sell at your estate sales, all the left over "crap" is taken away by the person who does the estate sale. They will sell it on their own. It sounds like you didn't completely understand how this game works. Whiner.

ok..........so i had my own sale......did the sorting, cleaning, pricing, hiring help, advertising, myself..........after going through 3 days of people in my house.......i was left to clean up the mess and start bringing what was left from antique dealer to antique dealer.... never, never, never again........i would gladly pay Juanita double what she charges........the only reason i didn't have her in the first place was that she was booked up and i asked myself, how hard can it be?????????? i found out the hard way.......

That's why you should do what we did - we hired Totale Estate Sales. They left our grandma's house clean and orderly. We were very pleased with the services. They're brokers...NOT "dealers". They don't have a "store". They SELL your items.

20 years ago i set her up, i acted as if i didnt know the value of some clay pots i knew i had some good pieces but played it off. she came in and offered me way more for junk pots saying they were of value and tried to say the ones of value were junk. i threw her out of my mothers house.

Went to a recent Totale sale. TOTALE waste of time. She's fruitloops on prices and on the last day she didn't cut it 50% like every other estate seller does. I watched her drop the price of a $400 table to $375 after 2 days. The table was nothing special either, you could have Joe Tahaned the whole thing for a not much more than she was asking. She's TOO HIGH on prices and I WON'T BE BACK.

Juanita, on the other hand - she deals, she sells and she gets rid of most of the estate. Whoever is telling the lies about her selling in her store ---------->>> She doesn't have a store, you fools. She sells estates on site period.

Totale. Yeah, right. Never again, I'll pass thank you. And make sure you get a receipt when she bangs you for the sales tax on her cash register. I'm sure all the tax she collects is TOTALE reported too!!

FWIW Juanita is the cheapest on the commission end too, 5%- 10% less than the others. And I've seen the lot of them, Potting Shed (Pottingly nuts?), Re-Utilize (moody SOB, prices depend on his mood and it's not very good too often), TLC Dennis (the fast talker but he deals), the Queen in her closet (go back in, please), Drudgery (how true! going to one of her sales is drudgery).

Juanita, you can thank me later when I see you again! You're the best.

There are 2 Sues in the estate selling biz also. 1 is ok, deals some and the other is a complete Richard when it comes to negotiating.

My m.o. is to look at the stuff I might want and make 1 offer. 1 only. Take it or leave it.

Half the time they take it, well the smart ones do. Better to take a bird in the hand than to wait and see if something better comes along.

Is this that woman who had a restaurant in Waterville named Whitehouse Berries Inn? I think I saw she also had a sauce in Peter's Cornucoppia.

The White House Berries Inn was on Rt 8 in Bridgewater, NY and yes. Juanita Bass was the owner.
