It will take me at least 20 years to forget some of the people I see shopping there...

Why was it closed? I remember a new food court being put in in about 1996, then the next year, no more mall!!

I wish the same, but for that to happen, literally all the stores there now, besides WalMart and Bass Pro, would have to leave. All of them take up the old mall. Only a very small portion I believe is left. I think the food court and maybe the end by Bradlees, but they probably were taken down when Burlington moved in.

all the smaller businesses everywhere are being forced out by corporate greed monsters like wal mart. such as spencer's gifts, the little pretzel shop, kay bee toys, montgomery wards, bradlee's, friendly's, every place that was at the food court, the first place on the right leaving Bradlee's, sterling optical, the ice cream place near it. I feel sorry for people that have young kids that are going to have live in this next century. it won't be pretty, I see bad things coming in the near future.

What a great find, thanks for posting the link to the photobucket picture. I just found about a dozen total pictures on that photobucket of various shots inside the mall.
All you have to do is change the last numbers of the JPG file name in the url to see all of them, you can go back about 8 and forward about 5.
Thank you to the original poster, and thank you "incredible" for pointing out that easy work around!!

For years I've been looking for pictures of this Mall!!

If vinnyMB or anyone else has more pictures of the mall PLEASE post them up!:)

I worked in the Park Place Arcade from 87 to 92 had a lot of fun back then and met a lot of people. All the employees in the mall back then were good people. Very big loss.
