Stick to engine parts. You know NOT what you're talking about.

Talk to the police department and you will find out where everyone was at the time the fire broke out and you will understand why it was impossible to get to the victims that were trapped and why they were unable to escape. Had the fire department known where this street was and how to get to it and moved faster, maybe this nightmare could have been minimized. Then again considering the size of the house and the number of occupants, I'm sure that it went up very quickly. That many people residing in that small of a home, means a lot of clothese, toys, boxes, beds, cribs, etc. I'm sure it was jam packed.
Which firemen didn't know where the street was, one, two, all? Did it matter concerning those that didn't? Were they driving the first responding trucks or were they following up as additional personnel? Did the few or many that didn't know, actually make a difference in the response time or what? This seems to be playing around as a blame against the FD when it may have been a second wave inquiring. Because someone hears something on a scanner, doesn't mean it's gospel as far as the whole picture.

You have the book, post the code that shows how you are correct, and the code that say's a basement doesn't need to have a fire escape when occupied as a bedroom.

this makes me so sad that A flabber mouth and some other NITWITS can speak out about any of this, first off if YOU were not there then you have NO IDEA of what was happening. The men and women of the volunteer fire dept/co put endless effort and time into training, educating themselves with not only their own districts but with other fire dept/co calling it mutual aid to help each other for tragic events like this. How dare you inconsiderate people get on a computer and type such stupid comments. My family has served our community for years and have saved lives and property because of many events that have been out control of humans and some because humans dont always use their own heads. A firetruck going down a one way street, really you question this. well if all the trucks went the same way then how close do you think they could all get to the fire..DUH and the men getting out of the trucks putting gloves on "slowly" guess what fools they had to put a coat, boots, pants, and a helmet on while responding to the call, ever try it? It is heavy and bulky and if you did see the video (which I did too) then you see he men were climbing out of a BIG truck and into a snowbank on one side..just because you dont seem to be the sharpest tack in the box I will explain there is two sides to exit from and others were getting off and pulling hose from where you can not see them in the video. May I also explain that the NHFD does know their streets and it was other departments that try their best to learn through mutal aid training the areas of other departments but landmarks like KFC are a general location for them to respond and then there are fire police to direct them in!! You hear bits and pieces over the scanner so dont think for one minute you have all the facts from what you hear on the scanner!! As far as paid versus volunteer well guess what paid firefighters have had the same thing happen in the city, so back off of each other and show some support, I have never seen the volunteers slam the paid "brothers" when they have faced the same tragedy but I have see much support for them!! It is a few people that just like to criticize and make yourself look better and sham on you because I believe you are the minority within the paid field. IF YOU WANT SOME to criticize then lets talk about the people that dont pull over for red lights on the road I have seen first hand how drivers ignore the red lights and sirens turn you radio down and pay attention on the road those are the people responding to help and people have the nerve to say they put their gloves on and slowly leave a truck..ugh another thing if you have so much time to be on here running your mouth about something you clearly are not informed on get out and shovel some fire hydrants!!!! You also have no idea how this affected some of the people that were on that scene and did ALL THEY COULD...it is a very hard thing to deal with in so many ways. EVERYONE that was there to help in some way had heavy hearts and families of their own so please dont sit and criticize them when you do not have all the FACTS!!! Paid or volunteer I believe you all give everything you have when the alarm sounds,,,,,

I apologize ahead of time and don't mean to hijack this topic, but since this is getting a lot of readers, maybe someone knows. Has anyone heard officially what caused the gas explosion in Whitesboro a few years ago, that leveled that house and killed the elderly lady that lived there? I've seen on the Net that approximately a half dozen similar occurrences have occurred nationwide since. Would be nice to know if this is an epidemic and could cause another tragedy.

Are you joking, that was only in Oct 29, 2011. The OD and WKTV are still working on finding pencils to make a ruff draft of the story. Check back in 2018 to see, It was a accidental explosion in a house, on a road, in a town, one died. Have a god day.

That was a joke, beyond your grasp. Thanks for the spell check. I bet you have real high tech job at Burger King.
Post the link where they explain what happened to the line, and the link where they explain what appliance caused this fire and why the wiring failed. Can't wait to see this, all excited.

You seem to like making jokes against others in public service so if you are so smart do your homework and find it yourself! I am not going to argue with a clueless person because I have a good job and pride in myself, I wont lower my standards to argue with someone on here that obviously knows it all.

Just say there are no posts, instead of your BS save yourself from shame.

The last update say's they didn't complete it yet. Your hollow attempt to save face just makes you look foolish. Tell us again how well the OD and WKTV did explaining all the details with no proof.

Please excuse me I have mental problems, I know absolutely nothing about being a Civil engineer, electrician, human, fireman, cop, toilet cleaner. I have nothing else to do but talk about people from my basement living on welfare. I am jealous of Hamlin because she went to the Olympics and I go to the county building. I also didn't win the Driveway Olympics.

Every single investigative agency has investigated this case and have definitely ruled out that the furnace was NOT the cause of the explosion.

We all should remember that it is National Grid that does the FINAL step when a furnace is installed - they are the ones who turn on the final gas line that goes into the furnace.

Draw your own conclusions!

WKTV announced yesterday that the cause of this horrible fire was due to a short in an electrical appliance.

You have no clue. I had Collis install my furnace and my mothers and NIimo was never called or ever checked. Post the words where they say short, they never said it was a short. Read my post 135 to see what you are. I was talking about the whitesboro house explosion. You people who don't know anything need to stay off topix.
