Anyone seen a more desperate Wikipedia page than the one from Utica? Every no-talent idiot that ever thought they were anybody has their name in their with links to their pages. How about the long list a accomplisjments? Why do cistes twice the size of Utica have smaller less pathetic wikipedia pages?

The person who a couple of years back who posted a hysterical fake time line of Utica on Wikipedia would re-post it on Wikipedia or on this site. I mean it was hilarious.

Actaully, Utica was once one the most popular striving cities in the county. Many business started in this area, one being bristol meyers squib, we have the largest train station in the state, except for grand central, although the same designer made both. Part of are parks were designed by the same person who designed central park. Utica is known, and classes are taught, as one of the most architectural diverse cities in the country. The old lunatic asylum has the closest reproduction of Greek pillars outside of Greece in the world. Uticas history in the formation of this county is unquestionable. It was the textile capital of the world. Polartec fleece was started here, one of the first fleece companies. Chanatry was the first grocery store in the county to gross over a million dollars. If you go way back, Utica once had the tallest building in the world. It was a major site at only six stories tall. So funny by today's standard. I could go on, but you will not listen, you have no concept of what Utica was like. You can say what you want now, for I agree it has seen its peak, but by trying to trash it's past you are just showing your close mind. Did you know the Utica aud was the first bicycle design in the world and is the prototype for Madison square garden? Without Utica, many things in this county would not be around. That's a fact. Try to enjoy your live here, or move and enjoy it someplace else.

"The Utica aud was the first bicycle design in the world and is the prototype for Madison square garden"? Ok and exactly who cares? That is what I think this post is about. I'm sure plenty of cities need to go around claiming circular arenas and 3rd rate musicians that almost made it. You got it in a nutshell.

utica was never the home of the tallest building in the world. idiot. maybe the country, i doubt it but maybe, but i can think of several europeon structures more than 6 stories that were around before america existed.

Good point. I like the "Office" part on the wikipedia page now we're talking about being a 3rd rate stand in on a tv set its not like the actually come here or show real locations who would care anyway? I think that wikipedia page is for anyone with no life to go add their comments like who actually goes and writes about that joe bonamassa up there but himeself? Half a uticans are super image consumed and like to inlate up the slightest thing into "the big time" that's why uticas page is way bigger than anyplace similar and they don't go into excruciating detail about c musicains and all these other famegirl wanabees the should just erase the utica page and start from scratch. At least Austin Centrella and the Kolision guys hold back and show restraint! It IS really desperate looking it makes utica look even worse to outsiders!

You are correct, I meant to say country. Thank you for fixing that.

Onto?

What's funny is people in utica try to compare utica to those two cities. Albany is a hick town compared to philadelphia which makes utica the equivalent of nothing. It's a dead speck along the rust belt of the state that no one cares about except for comedic purposes.

I like some of the comments made by Truth, and I agree with his overall tone. Too bad so many trolls are out there with nothing better to do than troll the internet and fill it with their ignorant thoughts and comments. I've lived in about 20 different places in the US over the years, and let me tell ya .... Utica's not a bad place at all ! As a matter of fact, it has a lot of great aspects ! Every place, city, and town in this country experiences many of the same problems we experience here. Granted, Utica is not NYC or Philly or Boston or anything like that, but I don't think anyone is really saying that. And my saying is that "Although Utica may not have the greatest reputation in the world - at least it's got a reputation!" Rock on fellow Uticans ... and here's to the Utica Club !

I feel sorry for you....... Don't know where you have been but it wasn't anywhere special considering your comments. You need to get out to some other areas. It's really, really bad there!

Hop on a plane (you'd have to go to Syracuse or Albany to do that) and when you get anywhere in the US ask the first person if they've heard of utica. Chances are it's a no.
